After many years as super mex and then armandos this restaurant has closed its doors. The husband who owned a few divorced and his wife got the name and there are now super mex's in Orange County. They offer a green Spanish rice.

If you like Mexican food , you need to go. The food tastes like my late husbands and they use the same spices.

This place is legit! The wait staff barely speaks english but that is how you know it is good. Their chips & salsa are to die for because they actually use real tortillas and fry them up so each chip is the size of a tortilla! Their burritos are amazing and they have a great happy hour as well. Mondays... More

We found this place as a last resort. We were staying at the Hilton across the street and didn't want asian food (which is what the neighborhood is known for). We walked into this "hole in the wall" with very low expectations......and were BLOWN AWAY. I had the chicken burrito which was fantastic. With only one exception (which I will... More

I thought I had tasted good Mexican food before, but I was mistaken. Armando's exceeded all of my expectations and shattered my beliefs. Never before have I experienced such a perfect blend of flavor, authenticity, quantity, price, quality and personality! I am impressed! The owner Jonathan is entertainment and personality extraordinaire. He is reason enough to visit the establishment. The... More

Best food. Best value. Best service. If mexican food is your thing then get yourself along to the 'mountain top'. I have eaten in many and in my opinion Armando's is peerless.

A friend of mine knew that I don't generally go to Mexican restaurants because my family and I make better Mexican food (a little spice is part of our DNA) than most restaurants. She gently recommended Armando's and I've never looked back. Taco Tuesday is now a monthly expedition for my work when 10-15 of us head on over after... More

Don't let the outside of the bldg scare you. When I was there, they had an A rating. Ate here twice, 2 different experiences. The staff the first day, especially Johnathon, were very friendly. I promptly received salsa, tortillas, and an amazing bean dip. The bean dip was spicy and covered in cheese. The second day, I took my husband.... More

Good food. Good staff. Nothing fancy, but we had a good time. Staff helpful, and suggested good items to eat. Owner/manager even brought us out free Tequila shots when we were done. Nice touch.

Was recommended by the hotel across the street. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much since it was out of place in the middle of all the Chinese restaurants but I needed my taco fix. Salsa was incredible - obviously house made. Beers were $2 during happy hour and the washed down the tacos nicely. The staff was friendly and very attentive.... More
