I love sushi. I ear a lot of it. Gintei was literally the best I’ve had. Period. Fish is fresh from Japan and it is apparent in every bite. Color, texture, flavor were exceptional. Every bite! Sat at the bar and chef was sociable and...More

I’ve eaten a lot of Japanese food in Ireland and SF. This was the best by far. The fish is flown in from tsukiji market in Japan every day and you can taste it. We ordered the 50 dollar sushi omakase and some Rolls. The...More

Wonderful, authentic sushi. A warm, welcoming staff and small, meticulous space. (Not great parking but el Camino will do). Excellent sushi, wonderful hamachi Kama and chicken karage and tempura. Great wakame salad and edamame. It’s a very special place. Pricey but totally worth it.

We just went to Gintei for dinner. We ordered Hamachi Sushi, Sake Sushi, Agi Sushi, Unagi Sushi & Saba Shio. The sushi were well presented and fresh. The Saba Shio was tasteless, believe the chef has forgotten to put in salt. A bit pricey.

I must say the worst restaurant I've ever been to. The manager, Asian guy with dyed blonde hair, is the rudest most incompetent and inappropriate person I've ever come across . After insulting my wife and kids on Mother's Day for being 10 minutes late...More

Fish is flown in from Japan and around the world. We didn’t go for the omakase but had a flight of salmon and hamachi, excellent! I also had a roll which was full of crab and fresh sashimi on top. The tempura was so crisp...More
