I lived in Berkeley next to The Blue Nile, on Telegraph Avenue. I have since moved to Sacramento and the Blue Nile closed. Happy to find the same food here in Sac! Had lunch with kids, everyone was happy. Will return again and again. Would rather eat here than Tower, which was crowded and crazy.

We were invited to lunch there by old friends. Truly enjoyed the food as I am becoming a vegetarian. Good choices and very tasty. Try the honey wine too.

Went there on a Saturday about 3:00 p.m. and therefore avoided the lunch crowd so service was good. Unfortunately the buffet had just finished as well. They have a varied menu and Lia served us complete with a bright smile. Ordered the Beef Tibbs - they have a plain version and a spicy version. Lean beef chunks sautéed with tomatoes,... More

This was our second visit here and it was disappointing. The food was good. Did not care for the up charge for the lamb. The biggest issue was the service. Had to ask for our drinks 2x and refills were never offered. After our food came they servers never came back. I will not recommend this place and will not... More

We went here today for friends bday. I have been to other Ethopian place but i will surely say this was better one among those. We tried the veggie and n/veg platter. I personally like the chicken dishes so in the combo plate we got all the 3 chicken dishes that were in the menu with 2 veggies. The chicken... More

Decided to give this spot a try to hear some spoken word poetry. The show was more than two hours late...I hear this is the norm, but the food and service were excellent! Had a dish with some sort of bread that looked like a rolled ace bandage. Dipping the warm soft bread into the gravy was wonderful! We also... More

I was brought here by a friend and was surprised by the quality of food. I am a vegetarian so I chose the vegetarian combo which was so good and fresh! My fiends took lamb and chicken, they both were very satisfied. Portions are huge!! None of us could empty the plate. The location itself is not great but food... More

But not my last. Our daughter brought us here for dinner during our visit. There were four of us and my daughter recommended we order the meal for three, as the servings are generous. Even so, we tried our best to eat every scrap of food we were served and ended up having to take a walk after dinner before... More

Fresh and authentic Ethiopian cuisine. Everything made from scratch and with care. Flavors are exceptional. If you're not a fan of spicy food, make sure you ask for mild flavors. The vegetarian lunch buffet is amazing. Homemade everything including the enjera, which is itself worth the price of the buffet. Friendly and casual atmosphere. Appropriate for families.

I placed a large take-out order for a family celebration. We were all impressed with the quality and flavour! I walked into the restaurant for pick-up, and sampled both the house-made and import Tej (honey wine). If you're going to eat Ethiopian food, you can't miss the honey wine! The house made is yellow, thicker and sweeter, while the Imported... More
