I visit Old Sacramento often and have walked past this restaurant many times so I decided to finally try it while with friends on St. Patrick's day. The menu is simple and offers great options and alternatives for those who are on a diet or vegetarian. All three of us decided on the bacon cheeseburger with thousand island dressing. The... More

I had a great [early] Saturday dinner in busy Old Town. I had their dinner salad, which is generous, and had shaved veggies to accent the coastal greens. The Chicken Marsala was tender, and is prepared with mushrooms -- instead of the typical capers; over mashed potatoes -- instead of the typical pasta. They also have great beers and ales... More

We were a group of seven on Valentine's Day. The Firehouse was charging $150 per person for a prix fixe meal. Fat City was not pretentious like that. Really good food, a bright ambiance with Tiffany lamps, and all of us enjoyed it.

Service is ok, food is pretty good. Get there a bit earlier than the lunchtime rush in the tourist trap of 'Old Sac'.

It was a lovely bar with a nice crowd but the drink were tasteless in my opinion at best. I like strawberry drinks to taste of strawberries..these only slightly. People we know have been to parties and had a great time. So stick to your classic drinks cause the speciality ones weren't worth it.

Stopped in here for an evening dinner after traveling alll day. Decor looked very nice with bevelled glass and tiffany lamps, but food was surprisingly average. I had Chicken Marsala with mashed potatoes and the chicked was cooked well but did not have anything to differentiate it, i.e., tasty sauce or added condiments. My friend had Shrimp Louie salad which... More

Lots of meat to fill your cravings for a good hearty sandwich. We ordered turkey and pastrami sandwiches, both sandwiches were delicious with plentiful fillings of meat - very good. We also ordered the appetizer of fish tacos and it came 2 small tacos for $1 -. A bit steep for two small tacos though.

We arrived at 1 p.m. for a quick lunch before a concert. We were told it would be a 10 wait despite many empty tables in view. After a 20-minute wait we were called to the reception desk. We were then seated at a table that had been empty the entire time. It was another long wait before the bartender,... More
