Excellent in every way! Our family has been coming here about 25-30 years...ever since they opened this location. Family owned and operated with family recipes, always good and fresh with large portions. The staff is friendly and courteous. Highly recommended.

We enjoy the food and the friendliness of the servers. The albondigas is seasoned so well, as is their salsa.

This Mexican restaurant is in an average Rowland Height strip mall. The food is just all right. I had a rojo enchilada one time with old but not rotten tasting chicken It was covered with too much cheese. Another time I had an uninspired salmon plate. The service is also just average. The prices are okay, not cheap but not... More

Food is average in taste and amount, no greasy, no salty. But, it is pricey compared to other Mexican restaurant Takes long time to get order ready. The ambient is nice, but servers are not friendly.

Restaurant is not the nicest but the food is good. I can't rave that their food is the best I have ever had or that it's beyond delicious but it's definatley good. They recently changed their chips which is a big plus because they used to have these tasteless chips and a Mexican restaurant with bad chips is just not... More

I've been going to Casa Alvarez since it opened. The food served is from family recipes. The family's son still oversees the operation, since mom and dad retired back to Mexico. When the son is present, the food is closer to the original recipes. Besides many combo plates, there are a wide variety of dishes. The service is usually very... More
