The food was absolutely awful......uninspired, bland, served with no garnishes whatsoever. The staff could have cared less......very unattentive.

Olvera's food is really delicious if you like authentic Mexican food. Great menu selection. The service is superb and their prices are reasonable for the quantity of food that they serve. If I'm craving carne adovada or cheese enchiladas (the best in town!) I head over to Olvera's. Not too spicy for those who like their food mild, or with... More

This is a small ordinary looking building in the center of Ridgecrest. I had read many reviews of the mexican resturants in Ridgecrest and decided on this one to try on our latest trip. There is a lot more room inside that it looks like from the street. We arrived about 6:30 on a Friday night and there was still... More

Having read the reviews on here I had high hopes of a good, down to earth Mexican meal. Unfortunately not. Attentive staff and quick service but dreadful food. Rubbery chicken and gristly beef that was tasteless. Could just have been my dish but I won't be going back to find out.

We asked our Mexican-American friends to choose their favorite Mexican restaurant in Ridgecrest. No question in their minds: Olvera's. Not fancy, but very tidy and hospitable. Prices are very reasonable. We had the carnitas and the chile verde and found both dishes wonderful. Sides of rice and beans were unremarkable but fine. Our friends said we could spend a lot... Looks family owned. Pleasant though not fancy. Doing a brisk business. Very good food, right-sized portions. Excellent chile relleno. I'd eat here again.

Went to Olver's for lunch the other day. First time in couple of years because the first experiences weren't great. Still not great, but much improved. Good service, clean restaurant and OK Mexican food. Thought portions were nicely sized, but could use a little more heat. DW really liked the Chili Releano, thought it was the best in town if... Excellent food. Large Portions. Medium priced but good quality. I got dinner to go. I ordered over phone and order was exact. Cold and hot food separated. Lots of free salsa and chips
