I've been wanting to try this place for years but never found the time. Now I've been there twice recently and wish I hadn't waited so long. Really great breakfast --- love the omelets. Attentive servers keep the coffee flowing. Great value for the amount of food.

Do not stop and have breakfast here if you're in a hurry. A simple breakfast took over 35 minutes. One Chef only in the kitchen. The wait staff was excellent and made sure we had plenty of coffee. The quality of the food was average but didn't find it worth the wait. Don't waste your time for a meal if... More

I'm sorry to say we visited this place earlier this month. Service was s-l-o-w and the coffee exceptionally bitter, like they used more clinkers than other places. One ordered pancakes and one the egg and ham scramble. The pancakes were tough, they had to be cut with a knife! The scramble had good amounts of ham but the eggs weren't... More

We like to have breakfast out on the weekend so we tried another favorite of locals in the area, Country Kitchen. The parking lot was full and we saw lots of activity at the door on a Sunday morning, but there are plenty of tables inside two large seating areas. There was no wait to get our table which had... My wife and I stopped by Country Kitchen last Saturday for our first visit. I was surprised how big the place is - I thought it had a tiny seating area. We ordered lunch and I must say the turkey-bacon-avocado sandwich was a huge hit! The turkey is not a thinly sliced pressed turkey parts: it was a thick, fresh... More

Usual, very busy Sunday morning. 9:50am. Seated quickly. Coke and coffee ordered and water brought to our table. (Dark and medium roast coffee available.) There was plenty of time to relax and get refills before ordering. We like that. Standard breakfast fare. Eggs, omelets, pancakes, waffles and hash. Homemade breads and muffins, very good. Eggs over easy were perfect. Egg... More

Every time we travel to visit friends in Redding/Shasta Lake, a breakfast stop at the Country Kitchen in Redding on Hilltop is an absolute must! This time was no exception. We arrived for brunch. As is the norm, everything was excellent. There was a bit of a difference with the coffee this time. We were offered dark roast, regular or... More

We love the food and it has a great area for the kids. I recommend the hash and eggs. The kids love the pancakes and cinnamon rolls.

Ate there Tuesday, July 19, 2016... service was mediocre and the food overcooked, cold, and tasteless. I was with a group and someone else was paying, otherwise I would have sent the food back. I'm sure the owner will say if I had sent it back they would have fixed it, but why don't they care enough to send out... More
