Love the salad, New Yorks, garlic bread and potato! I also love the split plate option as were traveling with kids and there is still plenty of food. Everytime were in town we stop. Delicious and one of my top 3 restaurants ever.

A Redding landmark that should probably go the way of the Dodo, extinct. Wait was long, but we expected that. The hostess, Jennifer, was VERY nice. (Big improvement over the old lady that was there forever) Once we were sat, Ann, our server, was sweet...More
Truly a different place. I felt like I time traveled to the 50's. It is dark inside. Food was good and plentiful. Salad was interesting and reminded me of something my mom used to serve when I was a kid. It is a "meat and...More
We were looking for a good steak and saw this old-time restaurant. There was a little bit of a wait when we got there but only because we wanted a booth. The bartender was friendly. Our server was one of the best! Our meals were...More
I always wonder if it is as good as I remember and that first bite reminds me of why I am back! This place may not be for everyone but the sear on the steaks creates a crunchy salty goodness that is amazing. Go a...More
I had the 16oz NY Top Round, fries with brown gravy and salad and a glass of their better red wine. The steak was huge, I'll give it that, but I asked for medium rare and it was very definitely rare. Quite rare. I didn't...More
Practically no atmosphere but mostly a bar. Tries to be a sports bar so noisey. Can't recommend as a spot for conversation over dinner. Not a very good part of town at night at least.
Been in business since the late 1930's. Need I say more. Simple menu. Great salad, steak, and potato. If you are in Redding don't pass this up. Service was excellent. Steak was excellent. Full bar. House Cab was very good also. Thanks for an old...More
The food is good the service is good. The atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired. I'm sure it's just me, but I don't like eating in a bar. It's dark and the space is very limited.
