Great food - great wine list - very attentive service - great food selection and a very comfortable, relaxing environment. A place we'll return.

I am a beef lover! I always try to stop at various steakhouses throughout the country as I travel, so the Sycamore Inn was my choice this time. I ordered the Prime Rib and was thankful that I did as it was the best Prime Rib I have ever eaten! I have always been a fan of Lawry's Prime Rib,... More

Met friends at the Inn for their so-called "Prime Time" which states on their website has both wine and appetizers at half price. Well after I looked at the bill in detail and compared it to their regular menu it was obvious to me that the prices were not as advertised. For example, the PT price for calamari was $11... More

We had some 50 people in one room, with a buffet dinner, and it was perfect! Starters included cheeses, fruit and veggies, crackers, etc. Dinner was beef (didn't check closely), chicken breast, mashed potatoes and perfect fresh vegetables. Dessert was a choice of chocolate mousse, cheesecake and something else, all delicious.

Had dinner here last week with friends and it was all we expected and more. From the minute we entered until we left 4 hours later, it was first class and more. Lamb, Chilean Sea Bass and Filets. Great wine and a waiter who was more than just a waiter.

As noted in a previous review, this historically has been one of the best and most famous restaurants in southern California. On our last visit we found the food still excellent, and service outstanding, but a peculiar thing happened: when we ordered the souffle (a long standing tradition) for dessert, we were told that souffles were not available because the... A very historic place with good food. They advertise an early bird dinner on the marquee at the entrance that says the meal starts at $10. That is true...one dish is $10 and is, of course, chicken. The rest even a pasta is at least $5 more. Happy hours has appetizers at half price and drink specials. The place is... More

This was the first time I have been, and although the restaurant did not epitomize what one thinks of a steak house from the outside, this place was great! The food, customer service and wine selection was amazing! I love to enjoy good food at steak houses, and this is one I will return to. It was well worth the... More

Although I have simple taste (diners and cafes) the filet mignon was absolutely delicious. My family and I went for the first time on Thanksgiving. The atmosphere was comfortable, a little on the older side, but very comfortable. The prices are a bit steep, but the quality of the food does match the cost.

I've never been disappointed by the food or service. It is a jewel among fine dining in the IE. I have been visiting this establishment for years and the wait staff has been consistent, it's nice to see the same wait staff and that they pride in what they do.
