It will depend on what you order. They do have an extended menu list to choose from. On two occasions I had the Al la cart Tostada. Both times the flour shell was burnt. My cousin had the same thing and commented to the waiter not to burn the shell. Since he was Mexican and didn't speak good English he... More

A group of 12 of us went there on a Friday night. It was very busy, so it was good we had reservations. I was told by two different people to have the fajitas there. Great advice!! I had the mixed fajitas of steak chicken and shrimp. Some of the best fajitas I have had.

The only place I have found that makes a Margarita that does not give me indigestion. And, it tastes great. I always get the Top Shelf Margarita. My favorite dish is the beef and chicken Molcajete. This is like a Mexican stew, is usually very spicy and both me and my husband love it. The service is typically excellent, the... More

We placed a to-go order from this restaurant and brought it to the hotel next door to eat. I got the nachos and they were great. A huge amount of food, and I could not finish my plate. They were piled high with cheese, refried beans, ground beef, tomatoes, sour cream and guacamole. They tasted fresh and had a great... More

This large Mexican restaurant, open for lunch and dinner, is right next to the Best Western Plus Placerville Inn, so it's handy for a meal if you're staying at that motel. It's also conveniently located off the Missouri Flat Road exit from Hwy. 50. It's several miles outside of downtown Placerville. It has a very extensive menu, offering the usual... More

The food and prices are fine and the location is convenient enough off of highway fifty. Would recommend for any other reason than convenience.

We dropped by Sunday after church. We were very hungry. We were greeted & seated promptly. Immediately served chips & salsa, which took the edge off HANGRY, while browsing their detailed menu. The food was delicious. The amount served was enough to feed 2 people. The service was excellent. I would go back there again.

Description
I live in Placerville and eat here frequently. The last time I looked it had over a dozen five star recommendations on Tripadvisor that seem to have disappeared. The food is terrific (I like the seafood burrito). The salsa is wonderful. The service is almost always excellent. The décor is comfortable and attractive. I’ve eaten at probably a hundred Mexican restaurants. Of those three or four were really good, but Casa Ramos is the best.
