We are a craft brewery and restaurant. Our Tain Taproom, famous for its wood-fired pizza, offers the ultimate rustic food & craft beer dining experience thats open Thursday to Sunday and bank holiday Mondays. Facing our Brewery and Tain Taproom and on the same grounds is The Old Mill, a 14th century fully restored Corn Mill. The Old Mill is available for exclusive hire for weddings, corporate events and special occasions. All this nestled in a leafy woodland oasis and a stone's throw from Carlingford & Dundalk. We invite you to experience our world.

Highly recommend a visit to Carlingfort Brewing Company, whether in Winter or Summer you will enjoy. We went yesterday December 8th, a bitter cold day and the family had a wonderful time. The service was excellent, lovely friendly staff and the food was Excellent. There was no leftovers which is a good sign, seriously the best pizza ever my son said and I agree, I’d drive from Dublin especially for their Christmas pizza it’s so good. The whole place was decorated beautifully with magical lights, music playing and log burning stoves adding to the cosy festive ambience. Can’t wait to visit again in summer to sit outside and enjoy the patio and listen to the flowing water. Well done to all who work there in providing such a welcoming and happy environment. Love it.

A beatiful location and a wonderful evening and dining expereince. I went with a group of my sisters and friends. I only wish I had more time - the location is stunning but we didn't leave time to explore. We shared starters and we all had a different mains. They were all delicious and excellent quality. One friend is a vegetarian and she was thrilled with the attention to her meal. Service was very welcoming and the staff were super. We're definitely coming back. We ate in the Mill restaurant but I'd love to go back and try the woodfired pizzas and tapas in the Tap Room, where it looks less formal but is in equally beautiful settings a few steps away from the restaurant. I've raved about it and some groups of friends have since gone and had an equally great time. We went in late November and the forest around was decorated with twinkling lights and the pizza oven was glowing. Very pretty indeed.

Celebrated my dads 80th with family, food was amazing and we were exceptionally well look after. We had a range of dietary requirements through our group and the team ensured we had a variety of food to choose from. Desserts are a must .

Terrible, not authentic Italian pizza base, very small (kids size really) 17 euro very expensive and 2 euro for gf base
Thick doughy base , and very little pepperoni on the pizza
Chicken wings raw, and waitress said it's ok they alway have blood .........they did not chargee for the raw wings ,just hope I'm not sick .
The pictures must be from a long time ago as they look nice nothing like what I got, shame really as it's a lovely setting.
I have attached 2 pictures you can make up your own mind, hope this helps.

Great unique find! We booked CB as a good halfway meeting point between friends who live in Dublin & Belfast for Christmas lunch and gathering in the Old Millhouse Restaurant. Everyone enjoyed their food (I loved the soup!) and great selection including veggie and kids options. The staff were all lovely and accommodating for a group of 8 adults and 1 child. They also accommodated an earlier lunchtime start for us which we thought was really lovely. Atmosphere was nice & cosy with open fires in most rooms, lovely character and original stone wall features. We look forward to coming back with our doggies in Spring/Summer to the Taphouse for some pizza & craft beer as their outdoor set up looks great!

My husband & I & 2 friends booked the Old Mill on Sunday evening & it was just beautiful. I had asked for a quiet table as going through chemo & my immune system was low & Des & the staff were so accommodating. We got a table in the Kiln room & it was just perfect & the staff provide an excellent service & are so friendly . The garlic bread with cheese was yummy as was the bruschetta & spicy prawns. The Thai curry( prawn & chicken) delicious, rump steak good as was the pizza. Highly recommended & looking forward to returning again. Thanks again to Des & the staff for everything.

The Carlingford Brewing Company is a fantastic destination for family meals out. Its so relaxed and the food is amazing. Plenty on the menu for everyone but the Chicken Wings are my son's absolute favourite and he constantly asks to go back just to have these. We will definitely be back.

Tried new Mill Bar and Restaurant here and it was amazing. Staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough. Food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Great location. I had brusceta to start and it was so tasty and fresh, perfectly served. My partner had korean chicken wings to start and he said they were very tasty. I tried warm chicken Asian noodle salad and again fabulous. I'm not a dessert person but my partner got the sticky toffee pudding and i tried it, very light and served with ice cream. Overall very nice reasonably priced meal and will definitely be going again. Would advise to book from here on as reckon it will be very popular place over the summer months. Recommend a visit if you like perfectly cooked, tasty food.

Visited with my husband and two American friends. The pizzas and pulled pork went down really well, and the Americans, who are quite the beer connoisseurs, were very impressed with the craft beer selection on offer! Lovely cosy atmosphere and friendly, efficient staff.

Superb afternoon here with our large group of approx. 35. The location is wonderful, in among the trees with a babbling stream and the outdoor pizza wood oven outdoors. There is a newly-done fantastic weather proof awning the length of the building which was sheltered and very pleasant indeed. We were enjoying a family wedding party. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pizzas were simply delicious with varied first-rate toppings. Loved the beer. The chicken was served in a delicious very hot sauce and the chips were hot and crisp. We visited this venue and enjoyed it about 15 years ago...when there were ostriches..it was intriguing then, lovely to have it re-open. There was a wonderful atmosphere there on a Sunday afternoon. We had two babies in the large group and they enjoyed it too, there was space for their buggies and they clearly liked the vibe. We were very well fed and watered indeed; we look forward to a return visit very soon.

The Carlingford Brewing Company is a very unique venue, oozing with warmth and charm. This was our first time here, and it will not be our last. The owner, Des, was so welcoming, giving us a short tour and explaining some of the history of the building even with a bustling Friday evening service in full flight. Not only was this a superb experience but we had the nicest meal we have had in a long time. The service was second-to-none. This really is an unmissable experience - thank you to Des and the team, wishing you years of continued success.

We have been several times to the restaurant. Great spot, pizza is fresh, done to perfection and there is a lovely atmosphere, Service has always been great. Sitting outside is comfortable and covered and blankets are supplied too incase there's a chill, Would recommend and definatly return as repeat customers

There's a train in the woods, a pizza that was lovely and beer to die for.
Service was fantastic, something that a lot of places have got wrong with newer staff, post covid. Well done. Thank you Lauren, you were great.
Do I have small gripes, toilet wasn't great. Wings were average, come on chef show some flair and make some fresher with extra flavours!
Did any of that spoil the experience.... Not at all, fantastic evening, highly recommended you try this place for yourself.

What a fabulous venue. A beautifully restored mill with old world charm. Intimate dining space, fantastic food and lovely staff, made for an evening that we have repeated frequently throughout the Fall months.

After a little brewery tour we got stuck in to some pizzas and sides. Everything came out quick, tasted delicious. Servers were super friendly and funny, atmosphere went from cozy to cozy with a pretty great buzz as the evening went on.
Would definitely recommend.
