When with another couple. Service was great, ambiance was intimate and inviting, with tasteful food, and a enlightening cocktail list. Whether you want fish, or are a vegetarian, there is plenty for the palette to enjoy. Dinner may get a rush, but grab a drink...More

Each of the four of us had a different entrée. I thought that a couple were on the small side, but each of us enjoyed our choice. Good drink menu. Great waitress.

If a craft cocktail bar, a gastro pub, and your favorite Mexican restaurant hooked-up the offspring would be Fish Gaucho. The decor could be described as Hipster Rustic but you won't notice that because the food and drinks are so good. Pros: - Terrific selection...More

Good food but expensive for what you get. Mexican seafood. Unusual ingredients, tasty. Very popular and crowded. I liked the food but found it to be too pricey to try it again.

We arrived for a very late meal. Service, cold beers and food was on point. Two of us shared the Pineapple Carnitas Nachos. There was enough that all four of us shared. They were delicious. Our friends shared the Sea Bass Tacos and said they...More

I had dinner at fish Gaucho while I was in California for business. For an appetizer I had the Shrimp Ceviche, which was excellent! Their tortillas were really good, not sure if they are homemade or just warmed up, but they were really good. I...More

The food here was great. Large portions. Fresh. The bar is well stocked with quality liquor and the wine list features the best of local wineries.

Ordered mahi mahi fish tacos and asked that the fish be prepared medium. Fish was raw in the center and I don't eat raw fish. Tacos are small and one of the four had a piece of fish that was the size of a nickel....More

I love their diver scallops. They are the best I ever had. The Paloma and mach1 cocktails were amazing. The only bad thing were the flies. I had to keep swatting them away. But the food is amazing.

Description
At FISHGAUCHO, we are committed to only providing the freshest seafood, shellfish, local produce, organic meats, and finest tequilas available. Our executive chef, Chris Beckett, has many local resources through farmer market vendors, local farmers, and fisherman to have the best ingredients at his fingertips. This allows him to produce some of the most unique, visually inspiring, and delicious Mexican dishes you will ever try. His commitment to making every dish perfect, starts at the top and flows through him to the entire kitchen staff. Our tequila bar doesn't stop short of striving to offer the best in fine tequilas, hand squeezed, hand muddled margaritas, signature cocktails, local wines, craft and imported beers. We spent countless hours researching the different styles of tequila and mezcal to produce a list of more than 100 of the world's best tequilas from both the lowlands and highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. Every margarita at FISHGAUCHO is hand crafted with fresh-squeezed lime, organic agave nectar, and Blue Agave Tequila. We feel, this combination is the best way to enjoy the perfect margarita. The decor at FISHGAUCHO is mostly used reclaimed wood and metal which was inspired by old world rustic Mexico. Our furniture is truly unique as every piece you see was custom made specifically for FISHGAUCHO. When you're in beautiful downtown Paso Robles, stop by FISHGAUCHO to enjoy a fresh, healthy, and lively Mexican dining experience. We look forward to sharing our love for amazing Mexican food & drink.
