Went there for an early dinner, last week. The indication was “the best restaurant for scallops in Palo Alto”. And they sure are the best. The scallops were delicious and the sides were well chosen. Service was top class and the dessert was a perfect...More

Lunch was excellent. Beet and asparagus salad delicious. Sea bass entree light and tasty. Peach bread pudding a real treat. We ate in the dining room for the air conditioning. Patio is cute too. Not a place for a quick lunch. Leisurely pace.

Went for an early dinner. Even though the restaurant was bought out for a private event we were encouraged to come and sit in the bar area. Turned out to be perfect. Quiet, intimate seating. Casual elegance. Perfect service (I rarely say that). The food...More

We had a great evening here - super food, great atmosphere and first-class service. I had the skirt steak which was superb. Highly recommended - and great selection of cocktails too!

The environment and staff of St. Michaels Alley are very good, but the food isn't. I visited this restaurant recently for a business event. I'd been there a couple of years earlier and had hoped we'd go somewhere else since that visit left me with...More

Disappointing dinner on a Tuesday;maybe the B-team was there. Leaden pasta that had little flavor and needed a knife to cut it. A shrimp toast that looked really forlorn sitting on its plate with just a few paper-thin slices of lime to dress it up....More
