We went early in the week for dinner and it was enjoyable. The restaurant was busy - always a good sign - and our table was a little close to the nearest one but just about OK. We had the prawn spring rolls to start and they were ok but not what we expected. They were wrapped in glutenous paper... More

Tamarine is still the excellent restaurant that it has always been. Great ambiance, exquisite food, great service, in two words:a treat. Their classics are delicious, sea bass, shaken beef... their veggies beautiful: cauliflower, Brussel sprouts... today I tried the beef tartar for the first time and it was lovely!

We hosted our son and daughter-in-law's rehearsal dinner here last spring. Michael was great, helping us make plans long-distance. The Vung Tao Room is a beautiful space and provided exactly the intimate setting I was hoping for. Our waiter was professional and friendly, anticipating our every need, and pouring wine at just the right pace . The family style dining... More

Having heard about it on Check Please Bay Area, we stopped for lunch before a physician's appointment at Stanford. Food was good, filling and the service excellent. Had mostly pork in pastry. The art is a nice touch. Place was full for a Tuesday noon. Not cheap.

Fantastic food and great place. Love the decor and ambiance and would be there a lot if I lived in the area. A must if visiting.

Ok so this place is pricey but given the creativity of the dishes and deliciousness it was worth it! Great selection of drinks, wonderful small plates, and outstanding entrees. The service was just right-they even stored our luggage for us as we arrived after a flight. Recommend the sashimi, squash toast, and ahi. The pho was warm and comforting. The... More

For a fancy fusion restaurant, this disappointed. Clay pot entree was delicious but appetizers were subpar. Papaya salad had no taste whatsoever , and taro root rolls just tasted of deep frying.

This is the best Asian fusion (mainly Vietnamese) restaurant in the area and one of my two most favorite restaurants. It is an excellent place to have a business type of meal and for celebrating family events. My favorite is lemon grass sea bass. I usually don't like fish but I can't resist this dish. The way they make it... More

Love this restaurant for the flavorful food, excellent cocktails, great service and happy hour! The atmosphere is beautiful and comfortable. More value at lunch, but dinner is more romantic in atmosphere. Excellent happy hour! Try the flavored rices for sure...the best I've ever had and they come in a banana leaf! I get extra to take home! Curry is delicious... More

From the friendly greeting at the door thru the signing of the check, Tamarine was a great experience. Excellent selection of appetizers, entrées to die for, a great wine selection and wonderful ideas for deserts. Expensive but great!

Description
Tamarine is a contemporary Vietnamese restaurant that features the light but flavor-intensive culinary delicacies of Vietnam. The restaurant offers a menu based on small plates, promoting the Vietnamese tradition of the 'shared' meal in which food is shared and enjoyed with those close. Tamarine's small plate entrees are enjoyed with the pairing of a variety of aromatic, flavor infused rice, designed to be mixed and matched to create a truly unique flavor experience. Along with culinary delicacies of Vietnam, the restaurant showcases the works of emerging artists from Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries. Semi-annual exhibits will close with a cocktail event to auction the art. Proceeds will be donated to La Maison Chance, an orphanage in Saigon, Vietnam.
