As group of golfers we ate at a range of restaurants throughout the week. This one was by far the worst. Food choice seemed good but the reality of the dishes didn't live up to that. Bland and uninteresting. Ribs we had as starter came out cold and had to be sent back - no apology! Other dishes lacked any... More

I ordered the orange chicken. It was breaded chicken coated with orange sauce.. no veggies or water chesnuts. Was basic and tasty. Came with about a one cup portion of what looked like brown rice. I was satisfied as I was eating alone. The place is very bare and basic. I would eat here again, but if I was dining... More

Large menu, good food, atmosphere not so much. There was a slight odd smell to the place, but everything else was good. Service was great, friendly staff.

Not consistently fairly good. Some dishes are not to general Chinese standards. Items modified for Palm Springs. For example: Mongolian beef had no spiciness which normally is serve hot. Management said they do not add spice. Wonton soup had no flavor.

As a Palm Springs resident for most of the year, I have often frequented this restaurant when the Chinese bug grabbed me - especially since the food was well prepared, served hot, and portions large enough for leftovers for tomorrow's lunch. There is a new owner now, Mary, who is very personable and is carrying on the traditional food recipes... More

We have been going to China King Restaurant for a few years. Always a pleasant experience. Returning after just over a month, we found that decorations had been updated, new staff, and new menus. They said they changed owners about a month ago. The food was fair, obvious difference in the preparation and presentation. We ordered our favorites, the Wonton... More

This restaurant has been around for many years. The prices are really good in the $10-$20 range. And despite its facility's appearance, which is kind of bleak, the food is delicious. I say it's the best kept secret because not a lot of people would look at this place and say, "hey let's eat there." However don't pass it up,... More

We've visited Palm Springs for 8 years, but have never managed to eat in a Chinese restaurant there - there are very few, but as China King was within walking distance, we decided to try it. The ambiance is unexciting to say the least, but the food was excellent. The Mongolian beef was superb, as were the Shrimps. Altogether we... More

I ate here for dinner. I ordered the hot and sour soup which tasted watered-down and bland. They don't have any "extras" such as complimentary crunch noodles or hot sauce on the table. They did have soy sauce on the table, but the bottle was nearly empty. On the other hand, the service was fast and it was reasonably priced.... More
