Didn't have high expectations when coming here and the food was actually pretty good. An interesting motif and décor, but was a fairly decent restaurant with some fun and interesting choices on the menu. Again, I don't think it is worth tracking down in the area, but wasn't a bad meal overall.

We enjoyed this restaurant far more than I expected. I had a delicious bowl of rice & fish & vegetables while husband & kids enjoyed burgers. Family friendly with great service.

We were recent in Palm Desert at a conference when I had a craving for a burger. We stopped by Islands and it was a pleasant surprise. I had never eaten at one of these restaurants but decided to try the Kilauea (I love spicy). It was scrumptious! Service was excellent, too. Highly recommend!

Loved this place in years past. Stopped in for an ice cold beer, they weren't busy. Sat in the bar area, bartender not very customer friendly. Not a huge selection for draft beer, so unfortunately I ended up with Coors light. Shocked when I received the bill that a regular size draft of Coors light was $6.10.

My wife and I had the teriyaki chicken bowl with pineapple. Very good and perfect size to share with guacamole and chips add on. Cool lad back vibe.

The staff earned the bulk of this rating. They were friendly from the time we walked in the door until we left. They made you feel welcome. Islands has a good menu with lots of options. My wife liked that you could get a turkey burger with all the different options. My beef burger was cooked good and had a... More

Tucked away in the Desert Crossing shopping center, the Islands restaurant is a throwback to the Hawaiian dinner house concept…bar, open kitchen and lots of booths in a very stylistic setting with an Hawaiian touch, serving burgers, fries, tacos, salads, beer and liquor. TV’s on the walls add to the din and activity of the servers and chatter of the... More

We frequently go to this restaurant and it is exactly like all the other Islands. I love the No Blame Veggie Tacos! Two tacos filled with saute veggies, avocado, a side of cole slaw (I sub the ranchero beans) and salsa. Delicious! I have also enjoyed the wiki wacky salad. Best of all are the endless glasses of ice tea... More

It's been about 10 years since our last visit to this Islands in Palm Desert. The service was a little slow but the food order was very good. The special lunch menu is a good deal because some items are at least 25% off the cost of the regular menu. Lots of parking in the Desert Crossings shopping center. You... More
