We thought this was the best restaurant in the Carmel/Monterey/Pacific Grove area by a mile. Great atmosphere, service, food and, especially, value. We enjoyed fried squid, tuna, and crab salad with a white burgundy and everything was phenomenal. Passionfish makes a point of not marking...More

We ate here a few years ago and my husband made a reservation when we were back in the area based on the Trip Advisor review. When we arrived we recognized it and remembered it was great...it still is! Passionfish deserves the great Trip Advisor...More

Decent meal with good service. Limited menu and no spirits. (Just beer and wine). No bar area and cramped waiting area. Portions small and prices on the higher end. Plenty of better places to eat in the area.

Not only prepared and served exquisitely, the imaginative combination of flavors in the whole dish combine superbly. Delightful service and wines, as well. Not to be missed! - esp. with their mission of local and sustainable foods.

By the time I heard the waitressess' very long lecture on how Passionfish is saving the planet I did not feel I deserved their food; so I left.

We were somewhat disappointed after reading the reviews. We started with the seafood stew and fried oysters. The seafood stew was just a spicy tomato broth with scraps of whitefish, no other seafood was present. Call it fish stew. Fried oysters were very good but...More

I hate to give negative reviews on a highly rated place, but honestly we were underwhelmed. We experienced a really cozy upscale place with immaculate service. The deep fried oysters with kimchi are delicious, but, only 3 little oysters? We love a spicy seafood soup,...More
