this was a true surprise, it was very busy with locals, room to park a 5th wheel and good grubs. Would definitely return!

This is a small place with good service and food. The broccoli cheesy soup was wonderful, the hamburger was really good. The perfect place to go when you are in Lassen Volcanic.

I'm glad this is off the beaten path - otherwise they couldn't keep up with the volume and still have the amazing - right out of Grandma's kitchen homemade quality! Today's soup was sweet potato bisque - which tasted like Thanksgiving mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes...More

My husband and I were staying at the RV Resort down the road and decided on checking out JJ's Cafe. It is a quaint cafe with 7 tables inside and 4 tables on the patio out back. The staff are very friendly and the food...More

This is why I love America! A tiny little cafe/restaurant in the middle of a forest that you would just drive past if you only wanted branded restaurants. This place is tiny, less than 10 tables but the food and service was excellent. Lady that...More

Good home style food that isnt too overly priced. Staff is a little quirky, but who isnt. Keep in mind that backpackers come through here a lot in summer. Be prepared if you need to use the restroom, you might have to wait a bit...More

It took forever to our food. The meals were just okay which made the incredibly long wait not worth it. The waitress was very cheery but acted like we hadn't been waiting 35 to 40 minutes for our meal. Not worth the drive in my...More

We were on the road and starving when we found this place. We like to frequent small mom and pop businesses when traveling. There were only a couple of people eating when we entered, four other people entered after we did. They not only ordered...More

I don't often respond to reviews, good or bad, but this one caught my attention. We take pride at JJ's on several things, and you mentioned two of them. I want to apologize for your experience. I make the corned beef myself, and I have...More

We visited JJ's cafe when camping down the road. We had both dinner and breakfast here and on both occasions I was impressed by the food. You could choose healthy options that were a good portion size and they were really tasty.

Loved this place. It is a small restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. The food is plentiful and excellently prepared. It also is a great stop for hikers. They make their own sour dough bread and I bought two loaves to go. The jams are...More

At JJ's, we bake our own breads, pastries, pies, cookies, and more. We cure our own corned beef and smoke our own pastrami and pulled pork. Our burgers are made from a 1/2 lb of locally-grown, grass-fed Black Angus and served on a fresh-baked bun. Come on up and join us. You won't go away hungry!
