We were ravenous and craving Mexican food. We hit the jackpot in Ojai. It's been a long time between really good burritos. Tried the chili Coranado burrito with chunks of beef and pinto beans in a smooth red sauce. I ordered the wet kind. I don't know what dry would be like but this one was perfect. None of the... More

That about says it. The $5 margarita at happy hour was above average. There are too many mexican restaurants in town to not try somewhere else.

The place was packed when we arrived on a Friday night but the staff made an effort to set up a table for us with a minimal wait. The manager also went the extra mile in recognizing that our table wobbled and immediately wedged something under it to stabilize it. The service was very good considering how busy they were.... Had a nice table by the outdoor fireplace. It was cold and we had 2 heaters on us, but staff unplugged one heater to power up the TV to watch Oscars. They did not give us a heads up, just did it. Thought they could have handled that better. Lots of food, large servings. Food was good, but not outstanding.

Sit on the patio, or inside at one of the cozy bar-adjacent booths. Have a signature margarita. Splurge and get a pitcher. The food will be coming right up and it's all good. For ambiance and cuisine, Maria's is second to none. Outdoor heaters really work too. Right in the center of town and convenient to everything. Friendly servers top... More

The chicken fajitas were the best fajitias I've ever had. Service was so so, quite slow. Drinks and food were all great, great environment out on the patio for a nice brunch or lunch.

We live in Texas and enjoy trying different margaritas. The two we had here worst ever! No flavor. Very good salsa with chips. I gave it 3 stars because food and service were good.

The salsa was delicious - fresh and homemade. I had the shrimp tacos which were pretty good. Margarita also decent.

While visiting Ojai, there are lots of restaurants to choose from. We stopped in at Agave Maria (gotta have some mexican food) and were glad we did. Got a table outside as weather was nice and were in time for happy hour (this is starting out good). Waitress came quickly and we ordered drips (marg for me and lemonade for... More
