After reading reviews, we chose this place for breakfast, just a quick walk down from the Best Western. We were served by the owner who was very friendly. The food was fine, not over the top, but satisfactory. The atmosphere is very country. We did purchase one of the quilts, great lodge design (bears) and awesome price that make them... More

We actually went to another establishment and found the host to be slow in sitting people so left and found Katie's Country Kitchen! We were promptly seated, our orders taken and the food arrived promptly. Katie's Country Kitchen had a lot of country items for sale. Beautiful quilts very reasonably priced, to homemade jams, local beer, etc. We enjoyed our... More

Went to Katie's for breakfast as the hotel offering was disappointing. Couldn't have been better, attentive service and tasty food. The staff even took the trouble to make sure the tea was brewed properly. Definitely worth a visit.

We stopped at this restaurant for LUNCH, thinking that with "country" in the name it would be along the order of a "meat and vegetable type lunch. It was not. Now having said that, I will tell you that what we ordered......sandwiches and burgers.......was very good and the conversation provided by owner George and his wife made this a very... More

Like others we were driving away from Yosemite Tanya Lodge to Monterey. Breakfasts at the Lodge expensive and poor value. Katies was welcoming, clean, friendly and provided speedy tasty food. We are from the UK and unlikely to return, unfortunately. Quilts and preserves were tempting but not the pickled frog's balls! They are sprouts!

We stopped in for breakfast on our way out of Yosemite. We didn't have very happy eating experiences inside the park, so we thought we would try Katie's in Oakhurst. It was a very cute, old style breakfast restaurant with a nice little gift shop area. We were seated immediately. Coffee was good, and we both ordered a spinach, mushroom... More

It was ironic that we were returning from a week at a swanky hotel and this was our very favorite breakfast of all. We ate at the Awahnee, the Wawona Hotel, Tenaya Hotel, and other great places. This place is warm and homey & has terrific food. The service is top-notch. It shows that a restaurant doesn't have to be... More

Called here for breakfast on way from Fresno to Sutter Creek. It is an old style diner with a small area for gifts and quilts. It was fairly quiet, with booths and some to screens. We ordered breakfast, it was ok, but neither of us were that keen. The home style potatoes were undercooked and hard, and the corned beef... More

We used this place for three days recently for breakfasts and it was great . It was a proper traditional old style diner. The food was great . With good choice and generous portion sizes and as many free coffee top ups you can manage. The decor is what some might call nick nacks but i really liked it as... More

Wow pretty much sums it up... Great people...great food... and they make homemade jams and jellies and also sell them if you like... Also some of the best looking quilts as well.. Of course my wife had to have both... I recommend it to heaven and back.....But you decide...Happy Travels
