Small resturant in Napa that is overpriced. Ribs had more fat than meat on them. Filet mignon pieces were not cooked to the same request of medium. Would not recommend with so many other resturants in the area.

Napa Valley Bistro was probably my favorite restaurant we dined at while visiting Napa Valley. We had reservations for 6 people on a Friday at noon. We originally made the ressos for outdoor dining but it was a bit chilly and they were able to...relocate us indoors. We like to just order a bunch of dishes and share, that way we can all try a little bit of everything. Here is everything we ate: Espresso martini - this was my first time trying one and I really liked it. It was a nice pick me up with some much needed caffeine Buttermilk Battered Calamari (shishito peppers, red onion, chipotle-cilantro-lime aioli) - this was amazing. It was super crispy without it being really oily, and the fried shishito peppers were a nice touch Wild Mushroom Flatbread (spinach, kale, parmesan cheese, Sky Hill goat cheese, white truffle oil) - if it resembles a pizza, then I am there. I loved all the mushroom flavor. I'm not really a fan of goat cheese but I still enjoyed this flatbread. However, I didn't really taste any truffle oil - perhaps the goat cheese overpowered it? Cajun Wild Mexican Shrimp (chipotle, ancho, paprika, cayenne, garlic & mustard - served with focaccia bread) - I did not like this one. The sauce tasted more like Frank's Red Hot than it did Cajun. Plus, the bread was stale Chinese Chicken Salad (napa cabbage, romaine, bell pepper, ginger, almond, crispy wontons, sesame soy dressing) - we subbed this with ahi tuna and I loved everything about it. I don't think I've really ever used napa cabbage in a salad, but I'm going to start. All the ingredients were fresh and crispy. The dressing was a little but on the salty side but it had a great flavor Pan Seared Sea Scallops (basil potato puree, shishito peppers, orange-red onion-avocado salsa, lemon verbena-herb sauce) - this sounds like there is a lot going on but all of the flavors worked really well together. I especially liked the basil potato puree, which I thought was guacamole until more than halfway through. No wonder it was so good! Scallops were nice and meaty Blue Corn Tortilla Encrusted Alaskan Halibut (corn, potato, sweet 100s leek, wild mushroom succotash, lemongrass-basil nage) - another dish where it sounds like there's a lot going on but they really know their ingredients here and how to pair them. The fish was cooked perfectly Grass Fed Filet Mignon (bacon & green onion mashed potatoes, grilled asparagus, roasted shallot, merlot reduction) - a classic. I loved the mashed potatoes. It was almost like a twice baked potato but in mashed potato form. The steak was cooked perfectly to a medium rare and was nice and tender Ceviche - this was one of the specials, which I didn't love. It was not very memorable; I just know it had shrimp in it and was served with some avocado and tortilla chips Mac n' Cheese - this was my least favorite. It tasted like it was reheated in the microwave because the pasta was soggy and falling a part a little bit. I could also do without the peas Overall, it's a great option if you are in town. All of the ingredients taste really fresh and flavorful. Wouldn't mind coming back if I ever visit Napa again!More

We ordered several of the small plates for our dinner. It was perfect to share. We dined outside under a COVID created awning to accommodate outside dining.

We visited with friends and enjoyed the evening. Our server was friendly and desired to please. Unfortunately, we learned a few food items were omitted when the food was delivered, but we still enjoyed the evening and plan to return.

We come here every time we are in Napa because this place is so yummy, so fresh and always beautifully presented, excellent service as well. By now, I have probably had everything on the menu and it has always been super tasty - the food,...ambiance and service is just as good, if not better, than any other fine dining restaurant in Napa Valley but the value here is incredible. LOVE this place! It is much larger than it looks like from the outside. The only thing is no outdoor seating but we were here during the few weeks they were allowed to serve indoors. HIGHLY recommend. P.S. we did come here once pretty late - 9pm or after and were a bit disappointed as the food was only good, not great, one dish being rather mediocre so make sure you do not come here at the end of the night!More

My friend and I went here for lunch and had a great meal. We split the calamari, which we would heartily recommend. He got the burger and I got a Reuben. Both were very good. Service was very efficient and friendly. I would definitely go...back.More

We go with other couples ,friends from out of town, lunch with the girls. One of the best Calamari in the Valley. Always good, free corkage! Also, a really good Happy Hour at the bar.

We had a very pleasant meal at the restaurant. My husband’s filet mignon was cooked perfectly, and both my Asian chicken salad and seared scallops were delicious. The service was excellent and the atmosphere laid back.

Last night a group of three couples dined at the Napa Valley Bistro. We are all local and have dined at most of the restaurants in the Napa Valley. We all agreed, our dinner was one of the best in the area... actually, perfection! The...salmon with risotto was delicious, as was the fish and chips. In fact, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The service was outstanding and we all agreed we now have our new favorite. If you want a scrumptious meal, beautifully presented and moderately priced, Napa Valley Bistro can’t be beat!More

The atmosphere was impersonal and the service felt processed. The food very good which made up for some of the uncomfortable environment where staff were complaining and cleaning around us. Overall, just above average as a complete experience.

I’m unsure. The restaurant is a small, intimate bistro. I didn’t see any large banquet rooms. Best to contact the restaurant directly.

I did not notice any private rooms. The restaurant, though not small, it is not a huge restaurant either.
