This restaurant is very popular: book early if you do not want to wait outside. Once seated we ordered a salad and a fish. Both were good and tasty but not outstanding. Price were reasonable. A good place to go.

Located in Morro Bay State Park next to the Natural History Museum, surrounded by eucalyptus trees and right next to kayak rental dock, this casual restaurant is a delightful place to sit and watch the bay roll by! Extremely pleasant location enhances the dining ambiance as snowy egrets, blue herons, black night herons, gulls, geese and many shore birds roost and... More

The Bayside cafe is not only beautiful, it's yummy. Dine by the water and release your cares. I love their soups. And ask for an outdoor table if the weather's nice. Don't hurry. Take time to enjoy the views. One of my husband and my favorite spots on Saturday afternoons.

Simply the best tasting Nachos in the state. First started coming here in the early 80's when it was a morning coffee kiosk for early boaters. Watch them grow into a hamburger based eat in and out and then seafood and then adopt Mexican food. Everything is good but the Nachos are worth driving an extra half hour. Not a... More

Popular eatery with the locals. Food was fresh and tasty. All seven of at the tablecwere happy with our selections. The dessert menu is very impressive as well. Being that it is so popular, be prepared to wait for a table.

This was a nice spot for lunch. My wife and I joined her family. Several good choices on the menu. Most of our meals was very good however my Sea Bass salad was less than ideal. Fish tasted extremely fishy. Service was excellent and the servers were very friendly.

We love the bayside. Service is friendly and efficient. The menu is extensive. Something for everyone. There is outdoor dining with heaters as well as indoor dining. It's nice to be able to have a light lunch or a heartier meal any time of day. We've sampled calamari, scallops with aioli on fried green tomatoes , salmon sandwiches, soups of the... More

Whenever you are here make sure to ask for a table with Paul (my wife has a crush on him lol) or Amanda. Their food is so well done, very homemade, and delicious. My wife had a chicken burrito (huge) and I had the California chowder (a bowl of combined clam chowder and their famous green chili chowder) such the... More

If you are coming to Morro Bay you should definitely hit the Bayside Cafe for lunch or dinner. The food is excellent and the view is great. Off the beaten path Bayside is excellent if you want that local feel. I live in beautiful MB and this is my go to for take out or if I am hosting friends.

What a great find in Morro Bay State Park Marina - a restaurant on the water that is comfy (you can eat inside or out) and affordable. And the food is fabulous. We had giant bowls of delicious clam chowder followed by fantastic fish dishes accompanied by a nice bottle of wine. We were so full, we couldn't make room... More

Bayside Cafe is nestled in the beautiful State Park Marina across from the entrance to the State Park Campground on lower State Park Road. The views of the back bay are astounding and unique. The food is very fresh with all homemade items including soups, salad dressing, sauces and desserts. A dog friendly outdoor patio is also a plus for our animal lovers.Oh, and by the way, we are NOT open for breakfast as has been stated by trip adviser.....sorry.Open every day for lunch starting at 11:00am and including service of dinners on Thursday through Sunday.See you there.
