We ate here 4 times over a week. They have giant, fabulous breakfast burritos and very large, yummy dinners and margaritas. Reasonably priced especially for the area. Definitely look forward to going back. Also like the decor and windows that open on the courtyard.

We were grabbing lunch and shopping before leaving the city and popped in. The service was good, it was busy and we sat in the patio area. My husband ordered a burrito and I had a fish taco and a chicken taco. They were flavorful and presented well on the plate. The flavor was bland-ish and not Mexican like we... More

This is my mother's favorite Mexican restaurant. Unfortunately, sho can't go out much anymore, but my wife and I keep returning every time we visit the San Francisco Bay Area. It's located in a shopping center in the Sharon Heights area of Menlo Park. The place is small and frequented by young workers from the nearby venture capital and technology firms,... More

Not special, but it will do...had lunch here...over-sized portions, basic Tex-Mex style...don't even make their tortillas here...had a chimichanga...it was OK, served with the usual dollop of sour cream and guac...no hot sauce, kind of tasteless refried beans w/melted cheese on top...so if looking for quantity over quality, have reasonable expectations, this will do, but don't get too excited for... We have been to El Cerrito many times and, as a matter of fact, are going there tonight. The menu is extensive. The prices are more than reasonable. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. No extra charge for chips and salsa. Pleasant atmosphere. What's not to like?

I visit Stanford monthly and had decided it was time to try a new restaurant nearby. This place was convenient and the staff friendly. However, the chips seemed stale and my chicken chimi was so bad that I only ate a few bites, yet I still ended up with GI distress within minutes. I won't return.

Staff is very friendly and service is prompt. Prices are reasonable, especially for Menlo Park. However, the food is not very authentic at all; very bland; everything tastes the same. Salsa tastes like it comes out of a jar.

Very pleasant waitstaff, the food was fresh and not too spicy. One could enjoy all the flavors of the delicately seasoned tex-mex chicken in a bed of mixed salad greens. The servings were large and they refreshed our chip and salsa bowl regularly. The salsa is chock full of tomatoes . We were able to talk and visit without being... More

El Cerrito is the local diner/Mexican restaurant in my neighborhood. I have ordered "to go" from there every week for 11 years. The waitstaff/owners are wonderful. The food is always fresh and delicious. Open for a typical American diner breakfast everyday, pancakes and home fries do not disappoint (not to mention huevos rancheros). For lunch and dinner, the mexican food... More

We love the food and friendly service. The super taco is a favorite they also have good breakfasts. My husband likes the chili rellenos and the enchiladas.
