I have been loving this place for many years, through its various locations and owners. Today I had a perfect grilled cheese stuffed with mild fresh sauerkraut and anointed with Russian dressing. Kind of a meatless Reuben, only better due to the rich gruyere. What a treat. They always have epic soups. The cream of chicken and veggies today was... More

Flea street used to be a place we'd go to for special events and then it just kind of fell off our list of go to places. I'm so happy that we rediscovered this restaurant! It s great to be able to go to a place this consistently offers wonderful menus, has really good casual but attentive service, and offers... More

Came here a while ago after consulting Yelp for a restaurant that we haven't tried. This is kind of hidden in Menlo Park and it's easy to pass if you're not paying attention. Also, the parking lot is on the small side. They have a little patio to sit and have dinner when the weather is nicer. The service was... More

I l ove the organic quality of Flea Street. I also love that you can judge this restaurant by their soups, which are terrific. They divide the menu into "from the soil", "from the water" and "from the land", vege, seafood and meat. Very creative preparation, medium sized portions, which I call reasonable, fine dining prices. Highly recommended.

If you know all about Alice Waters, and the slow food movement in Berkeley, Ca. you should visit Flea Street Cafe. The chef here hails from Manresa. The meal from cocktail, appetizer to main course and dessert are fresh from local sources. Mark Zuckerberg and Oprah Winfrey frequent this cafe. I recommend their short ribs, trout appetizer, the lavender cocktail... More

The buttermilk biscuits, salmon crudo and salad with oxtail croquette ....yaaaaam. Deconstructed chocolate forest cake was fab as well. This place is truly a gem. The food was incredible - main courses were all creative and well done. The wine list is superb but eclectic and small. Until about mid way through the meal, I would have said it was a five star dining experience. Sadly, however, just after our 2nd course, and just prior to our main courses arriving, service fell off completely. Prior... More

I belong to a group of Silicon Valley women managers that get together quarterly to celebrate birthdays. We decided to go to Flea St. Cafe, which we've been to before, many years ago. I don't know what happened, but we were shocked by the response to our request for a reservation at 6:30pm: “For a party of 8, we offer... More
