Had a nice lunch. Sat at the bar, service was great. Mussels we're large and tasty. Sauce perfect. The ahi tuna BLT was blah. Not a good ideA for a sandwich. Atmosphere very authentic. Will be back for dinner soon.

The setting is very traditional of a French brasserie, and thanks to very high ceilings the place is not very noisy. The menu is not exactly the one you may find in France, but oysters are available. The service is not french and that's a plus ! Waiters are South americans and are attentives. All in all a good experience... More

Pretty much always start with the moules frites. Keep the bowl around and sop up all that delicious juice with bread. I've been here so many times and should have reviewed long ago. This time had the Cotes du Rhone, the Duck and a salad. I was feeling super Francophile this time so started with a Henri Bardouin pastis as... More

The restaurant delivers on its promise of a french bistro, both in the food and the decor. The brunch can be a good treat on a Sunday afternoon, but the dinner is when it hits its peak. The service is helpful and courtesy. Parking is easily found behind the restaurant.

For many years this place was a Francophile's oasis in every way. Then service went out the door. They've even totally comped me for a big three person lunch that took 45 mins to show up and at my last visit I had a full pitcher of ice water pored over my lower body. So avoid this one if you... I loved this restaurant. Had tasty tomato bisque followed by exquisitely prepared scallops on risotto. Prices are mid range. Beautiful ambiance. Friendly staff. Great location. Free parking.

French bistro food plus good drink selection-entrees as well as sandwiches. Good happy hour in bar and patio area. One tip-careful how you park in Menlo Park-police like to give Mickey Mouse parking tickets for time or being slightly outside parking lines.

The Left Bank isn't anything particularly special but they do have a great location in Menlo Park. They do feature a very solid happy hour in two flavors--early (I think like 4-6) and then after 9pm. During the happy hour the food is good and the prices are fairly reasonable. If you are in MP, you could do worse than... More

Good steak frites, moules, french onion soup, and other classic French fare. Decent wine list, nice service. Private room upstairs for parties or large groups. Nice happy hour too.

The food is ok, service is ok; nothing great but not bad either...so why do I go back? The location is good, they can handle larger parties and it's reliable. If you want real French food, it's not the place. The food is ok and you know there is something on the menu for everyone.
