On our search for California piers I decided to look to see if there were any nearby places that had been featured on "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives" and one was close by. We found a seat right away in the casual cafe. I had a tasty bowl of tomato basil soup served with a delicious piece of crusty caprese. My... More

A great local spot that was featured on Dine-ins, Drive-ins and Dives. They serve breakfast and lunch now. (both excellent) They have a diverse menu, with lots of items. The "local" way to order, is pick from their whiteboard of specials. There are tables inside and outside, but you are not able to drink at the outside tables.

A simple chicken sandwich to go was soggie with thin dry chicken. A salad out of a bag, no thought. What happened to North End?

This was one of those many super happy mornings when you arise early so you park your vehicle at 7:00 a.m. (street metered parking free until 8:00 a.m.) and then walk down to the Strand. Be sure to eat your edibles 33 minutes before arriving :-) As you walk along the strand hitting your pipe here and there, your senses... More

Excellent and efficient cappuccino and macchiato at this tiny cafe. Nice, friendly service; some tables on the sidewalk.

We stayed at the Sea View Inn and enjoyed coffee and breakfast at the North Beach Cafe. Not because of the convenience, but because the food is amazing and the staff very attentive. Egg sandwiches and pancakes are terrific. Great to see a small restaurant like this doing so well.

Eating at this place is a must. The breakfast / brunch meals are among my favorites. It's a short walk from the beach, so a nice walk after an incredible meal is always possible.

I went because of the Diners, Drive Ins and Dives episode and it was across the street from my hotel. The breakfast Sandwich was huge. The bacon wrapped hotdog was great.

Spent a couple of weeks in Manhattan Beach--went here twice. Very much enjoyed the food. Iced tea was very good also.

I try and get here once a year, typically on our annual pilgrimage to see relatives for the holidays. My boys and I stopped in for a late lunch. These guys never disappoint on so many levels- the service is friendly and prompt, the food is fresh and the vibe is hip. I had the short rib po-boy which was... More
