Four of us opted for the bar, rather than the table we had reserved, mainly because the first two to arrive stopped into the bar to wait and had such a good time with Athena that we decided to stay there. Food and service both very good. Moderately priced (at least for good, fresh sushi). Nobu just down the road... More

Good sushi, good service, pleasant atmosphere. Not memorable but a nice meal none the less. Fish was fresh and was a good value. A solid neighborhood restaurant.

Terrific food and great service at that this small restaurant tucked in a Malibu shopping center. Try the duck potstickers! Excellent sake menu and extensive food choices. You won't go wrong with anything you order.

Great atmosphere. Stopped while traveling from Santa Barbara to Santa Monica along the coast. Ate Malibu rolls and Organic greens salad and 2 glasses of Chardonnay $60. Fresh, tasty and pleasant surrounds. Very nice

The sushi was pretty good. It was rated as one of the best in the area, but I was not overly impressed. The rolls were reasonably priced, but average. Nothing special as far as specialty rolls or unique creations from the sushi chefs. I would probably look for another location.

Unusual sushi options. Great service. The spicy edamame is very fast. Great service. Nice sake selection. I enjoyed the sake flight.

It was our first time in Malibu (family with teenagers) and looking for a place to have a bite. This is a lovely restaurant. We were able to sit outside. The quality of the sushi was very good and it's a nice place. Staff was very pleasant and the atmosphere was relaxed.

This is our default eatery. Patio is perfect for kids and dogs. It is low key, reliable and consistent. maybe not always the fastest service, but you end up chatting with the table next to you and don't really notice.

i like the vibe of this place, and go at least twice a month. snapper carpaccio is a great dish. the extra charges for steamed rice and edamame are too high. except for that, the place is just a great place for good sushi and malibu-casual ambience

Staying in Malibu

Neighbourhood Profile
The Malibu coastline is like a chameleon. In some areas it resembles the French Riviera with its lush, green hillsides descending into crescent-shaped shorelines. In others, it feels 100% Southern Californian with beaches wide and flat as a football field, and often crowded with beach-goers lounging on towels and playing volleyball. Other coastlines still feel secluded, tucked under tall cliffs and dotted with stunning rock formations. In certain areas, where the ocean waves are just right, surfers can be seen bobbing in the water. Up in the mountains to the east hikers take in truly stunning views of the ocean and the sprawling Los Angeles landscape. And along Pacific Coast Highway, restaurants are filled with visitors and locals from all walks of life. Stumble into the right place at the right time, and you’ll likely encounter a celebrity.
