It is always fun to walk into a local, non chain establishment. Food was good. Service was efficient. Prices were fair. There is easy freeway access.

I love to go to a restaurant where the staff is friendly and welcoming. The facility is an older one but very clean. The menu is always the same, but so is the meal.. So for me its a good thing. I know that my meal will ALWAYS taste good. where can you go to get dinner and get a... More

We went back for Mother's Day brunch and it was excellent. The place was extremely busy but the service and food were great. We had a party of four and there were no complaints. Farnesi's has become our favorite go to restaurant in Chowchilla.

What a surprise! Great comfort food... Super friendly wait person. We could not have been happier. Don't be put off by the outside, or any poor review... It is what it is, and it's not what it's not... Nor does it try to be. Go again? You bet!

We have been going to Farnesi's for a long time, when we work in Chowchilla it is the only place we eat! Amazing food! and the Wine List is Big City style! We always eat in the bar (and if you do be ready for language!) because we're always watching a game...football, baseball, hockey, so there you have it. Tonight,... More

We have passed Farnesi's restaurant many times. This mother's day my wife wanted to take the family there for breakfast. Since it has been there for years, my expectations were high. They didn't disappoint us. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their breakfast & service was very good. I told my wife I looked at their dinner menu and I want to go... More

Met a friend for breakfast here because I have always wanted to try this place. I have been to the one in Chowchilla and have completely satisfied with the food so I thought this place would be the same as they have the same name. The food was good but it fell short of what I was expecting due to... More

We drive from northern to Southern California fairly often, and are always trying different places...searching for a good reliable place to eat. Farnesi's has been in Madera for a long time. It is old school, but the food seems to me to be uninspired 1950s fare. Most everything is breaded or battered and fried, the mashed potatoes tasted like instant,... More

The best chicken fried steak!! The soup is made daily. Huge variety and great daily specials. The only thing I would change is the coffee cup. Too small. Coffee is gone before it has a chance to cool off.

After years of living in Madera I finally had dinner with my lady at Farnesi's. She said they had a great liver and onion dinner and I had the chicken fried steak. Both were very good. What's great about dinner is you get a seafood cocktail, soup, salad and desert included in the price of the dinner which was very... More
