In Silver Lake, L.A. we went to have lunch to a little gem of a restaurant, called "Cliff's Edge." It's totally hidden and strikes you as a surprise. It provides valet parking, which is a big asset on Sunset Boulevard. When you step inside, it feels to step into a fairy tale, and you wait for hobbits to come out from... More

This was a special occasion so we splurged. This place is like a treehouse. It's rustic. The tables are fairly welI spaced. The sound of a waterfall comes from . . . somewhere. So it's disappointing that there's not a single vegetarian entree on the small menu. No entree salad, no pasta dish (even the squid ink pasta online wasn't... More

Someone has bought a very steep block of land, basically a hillside but I wouldn't call it a cliff from what I could see, and built a series of platforms at different levels connected by stairs, all from wood. The platforms have different roofs which must be interesting when it rains. Parking is hard to find but for $6 there... More

How do I begin? U have parking and Valet. There are two entrances I think 3. Oh...the patio out back? EPIC. It is a treasure to see. It opens up to front clearing that wraps around a GORGEOUS tree that has been there since the DAWN OF MAN and goes up another level to another clearing. Now you have perspective... More

When in LA, the challenge is not finding a really good restaurant, as there are many. The challenge is to find one with a dish that will make a memory. On a six day visit I visited four high end restaurants. One dish inked my brain, the crispy bronzino at Cliff's Edge. When you live in northern Wisconsin, the red... More

Amazing place in Silver Lake - a wonderful patio like setting in an area where you would never expect such a wonderful place. We went with two friends (who actually introduced us to this place) - vegetarians. I am - as one can see - not a big veggie eater, but I could not get enough of the spouts and... More

We had our first dinner in LA right here and absolutely loved it! Nothing we could find for the rest of our trip could keep up with this one. Firstly the decor and ambience puts you in a place far far away from the city, you feel like you are in a magical forest with gorgeous bathrooms 😊 The food... More

There is a lovely backyard patio ( although we had tons of flies hanging around our particular table) and the service was friendly and efficient. The brunch food was very mediocre, so we're not really tempted to go back for other meals.

First time visit to a little restaurant hidden in an alley. Whew, I thought! Hidden in an alley? Walked into an old converted horse barn, with lots of silverware clinking off of white plates. Everyone seemed entranced. Now I know why. The food is absolutely fabulous. We shared. Thai fish, wangkyu beef,Salmon, cauliflower buds, brussel sprouts and bubs bread. I could... More

Do you love amazing food? Cliff's Edge will not disappoint you! Best to make a reservation in this tucked away (almost hidden) gem of a restaurant. Whether you like spicy or simple, this place has it all. You sit in a multi-level eclectic place and under the stars and trees. Wonderful service and out of this world food.
