Gyu-Kaku is always a good place to meet up for the lunch. The happy hour is very affordable for both food and drink, and it's great to try a bunch of food and share.

This was my second visit to Gyu-Kaku and I enjoyed it the second time as much as the first. It's a good way to try many different dishes without breaking the bank. The service was excellent and the food choices are many. Great spot to check out but expect to wait a bit as it's very popular.

You can never go wrong at Gyu Kaku. While there are certainly pricey items on the menu, if you go during festival seasons, or during happy hour you can get a serious amount of great food and drink and ridiculous prices. There is something here for everyone - meat eaters, vegetarians, and everything in between. And whatever you do, don't... More

For those Japanese food lovers, and if you have the right palette, this place can give you some serious flavours. BBQ on your own or order ala carte cooked, the taste is amazing and ambience is captivating.

I relisted this venue because it is in Sherman Oaks NOT Los Angeles! The food is consistently good, although I think the portions have gotten smaller. During Happy Hour & late night they offer food & drink specials. Love grilling at the table!

This is our second (and last) visit. We ordered ala carte. Our meal came promptly and the food was good. The other couple with us had all sorts of problems. First, their grill wouldn't generate heat. Staff interrupted our meal to try and clean it and it didn't work. Then, they had to replace the grill while we waited. One... More

Very popular Van Nuys restaurant where you BBQ the meats and veggies you order on your own table's BBQ. There are numerous appetizers, sushi, steak, salads and other dishes as well. The food is good and the restaurant has a lively atmosphere. They have low prices for Happy Hour and tend to get very crowded during this time. Parking can... More
