I came here for the first time for an office lunch. The building was beautiful inside - amazing original wood and iron work and tons of unique artwork (they have a gallery upstairs also). The main dining hall has super high ceilings so it give a very nice open feel to the place. The food was outstanding. There are plenty... More

Tamayo is an oddly placed little restaurant in Commerce, CA. It is a restaurant and art gallery. The food is plentiful but expensive. I always order an appetizer because the full menu items are too much food. They have the best guacamole I have ever tasted. It's a great place for a business lunch, or a get together. Just be... We were here with a group, and the service was excellent. We had appetizers and drinks. The Sangria was great! I had the steak and cheese enchilada, and it was a huge plate of deliciousness. Others in our group raved over the shrimp enchiladas. Neat building, cool art and great setting. Would I return & recommend-Definitely!

Four of us went for a week night dinner and were seated right away. EXCELLENT homemade tortilla chips -- thin and light and perfected salted. Prickly pear margaritas. Mango margaritas. Jalapeno margaritas. Good service. Large portions reasonably priced. Interesting art, the restaurant includes an art gallery upstairs.

This is a great place to eat lunch and have business meetings. I have been eating here for years and this is my first review for Tamayo although have have deserved great reviews from me in the past I only joined Trip Advisor last year. If you haven't been put it on your short list with El Cholo.

Stopped in on a quick business lunch. Where told there would be a 25 minute wait (Holiday office lunches) but we were seated in about 10 minutes. Although it took a few more minutes for our server to greet us (Holiday office lunches) he was very apologetic and responsive once we connected. While I do not have a spicy food... More

My friend and I dined at Tamayo in Los Angeles today. Happy and attentive service, superb salsas (three excellent versions), and distinct fine Mexican food. I had a delicious shrimp enchilada with steamed vegetables, while my colleague had a spinach enchilada (vegan). Both perfectly cooked and beautifully presented.

Sumptuous Mexican lunch! This restaurant was a real surprise! The waitstaff was attentive and timely with our orders even during a busy, very full lunch hour. The atmosphere is open and friendly with interesting artwork. The portions were generous and the salsas were terrific. I grew up not far from this area and this was a real treat.
