All in the name: Mizu is water in Japanese and the boiling water's temperature is 212 degree Fahrenheit. This is not the first time I visited this place and this time it was even better then before. My daughter and her husband invited me this time and I tried the Kobe beef, which was absolutely superb. Very tender meat, lots... More

Very clean and food was fresh and tasty. Had a vegetable and pork+seafood combo for dinner. Both were very good. Hot tea was lukewarm but staff quickly changed to fill with hot water. Attentive when needed. Validated parking for $2.50 made it very convenient at back of restaurant. Recommended.

My wife and daughter were over on Sawtelle this afternoon and decided to stop in at Mizu 212 for lunch. Wow, what a great decision that was. We each had the small grass fed rib eye plate. Unless you are a huge eater this "Small" plate do just fine. Cost was only fifteen dollars each. Plenty of fresh vegetables, thin... More

My husband took me on a date to this restaurant on a Friday night. We arrived at 6:30 and had no problem walking in (even though they do take reservations). The service was fantastic. The owners son was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed every step of the way. My husband likes spicy food and so... More

A very nice Shabu Shabu experience. They serve a pretty substantial plate of vegetables, but for the regular sized portion, the amount of chicken was a little slim. I do like that they give you an extra pair of chopsticks to handle the raw meat. The restaurant is clean, and when I dined, there was no wait (unlike many of... More

By a chilly evening, I went to Sautelle for sushi, but ended up at Mizu for a warm Shabu Shabu. I ordered a basic rib eye set that came with plenty of vegetables and sauces and had a brown rice on the side. I really appreciated the already slightly spicy mixed sauce, which was THE best complement that made this... More

Staff are always friendly and the restaurant clean. Vegetables and ingredients are fresh and tasty. Meats are excellent. Cooking your own food in the boiling water with all of the ingredients make a delicious meal - feels health and satisfying. Highly recommend

It's part of the Sawtelle scene but at the north end. Fun experience---having to pay and cook my own food! Reasonable prices. Patient and pleasant explanation of how to dine here. Kinda fun. We'd go back.

Convenient location in West LA. You have a pot of boing water in front of you, they bring you fresh vegetables to flavor it and then you cook yourself the thinly sliced meat they bring to you. They give you several choices of types of meat, including Kobe beet

This is my favorite shabu shabu place in Los Angeles by far. Great fresh food in an open and airy environment! Most of the seating is bar style, which is fine for adults, but as we came in with two kids (both 7), we got seated at one of the spacious tables. Each mom and kid shared a large plate... More
