This place has that classic Americana vibe with Elvis Presley music on the background. A place that made you feel that you have come to America as portrayed in movies. Not to mention that this restaurant is located in Hollywood.

We’d stopped in for dinner. My wife had what she said was the best cheeseburger she has ever had, I had the turkey and dressing with steamed veggies, stuffing and mashed potatoes. Neither one of us could eat our entire dinner but the food was...More

We were attracted by this typical 50's diner while sightseeing on Hollywood Boulevard . It was reminiscent of our youth and we felt like traveling back in time ! We looked at people eating close by and found their plates to be very big ....More

Mel's Diner opened in 1947. The interior takes you back to the typical diner of the 50's: juke box at your booth & neon signs. The Mel's burger: 5 oz burger on a toasted bun with lettuce, tomato, and red onion was flavorful and juicy....More

This place is really lovely and it takes you back to the "Happy Days" TV serie era. It's a vintage place where you can find jukeboxes everywhere, the waiters and waitresses' uniform is on spot, you can smell the 50s in the air but also...More

Typical 50's Diner - a fun place to eat! Service was good. We ordered a milkshake to split and they already split it into two glasses without us requesting it. Great milkshakes! The clam chowder had lots of potatoes, but wished there were more clams....More

We had the pleasure of dining at this 50's diner. We had fantastic service and the food was awesome. The portions are always so large, hard to eat it all. I did find it just a bit over priced but would not stop me from...More

We were well looked after by piper. She is very good at what she does. She makes 100% sure her customers are looked after. The chocolate milkshakes are really good as well!!!

Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie
stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day,
tourists flock here from around the world to see the
iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to
catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close.
Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas
the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and
hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night

I apologize for a very delayed, and recognizably likely too late answer (I have been to the ER twice in the past 3 weeks). The answer is yes. I hope you had a wonderful visit and found Mel's as delightful as I did.
