This place has nice interior and a nice vibe. If you sit by the bar you can see the chef cook the food. I was really looking forward to eat a fish taco, but wasn't really impressed by their fish taco unfortunately. But the their corn cob was amazing! I liked that they had happy hour, not only for drinks... More

Friendly efficient service where your pets are made welcome, even our snappy unfriendly one received a treat! Great beverages (fresh pineapple), beer selection and vegan and varied food menu - fresh fish of the day and the Fish Tacos were amazing, absolutely one of the very best!

Food was ok. Very loud music so it was hard to have a conversation. And the service was terrible. Someone should give the staff something to smile about.

Looking for a place to eat dinner having just arrived in Venice, we just walked in off the street as we liked the look of it. One burger and one order of enchiladas in green tomatillo sauce later and we were happy. This is a great place with a lively vibe and a lovely outdoor deck. The food was good... More

We have been to Oscar's Cerveteca on two occasions in Venice. Both enjoyable. It is a nice place for lunch on a Saturday with outdoor dining. All our menu items were very good and the staff very accommodating. It is on Rose Avenue and very easy to find.

We had lunch there today. The tacos were excellent. The Lagunitas IPA draft refreshing. The outdoor seating pleasant. In all, very good.

Loved the "hangover soup" and shredded beef tacos. Servers were efficient and friendly. Kept our water glasses full and cleared table quickly. We will be back.

A friend recommended this place, and we are not surprised. Amazing food and atmosphere! The crowd is young and relaxed. A perfect night out at Venice beach!

Staying in Venice

Neighbourhood Profile
Venice has always danced to its own beat as the epicenter of bohemian culture in Los Angeles. Along the boardwalk there are street performers and local craftsmen selling their wares. Original paintings, souvenirs, and jewelry are on display. Crowds of visitors marvel at the sites while weightlifting enthusiasts pump iron in plain view, and skateboarders do their tricks around the skate park. All of it happens under the warm California sun with sprawling views of sand and sea. Heading east, the main drags of Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Main Street are lined with boutique shops, some major retail stores, art galleries and restaurants. Here the ambiance is more relaxed and upscale than the frenetic boardwalk area. Venice is a mostly walkable (and certainly bikeable) neighborhood, full of areas to explore.
