I attended a group business dinner at a conference. The restaurant is large and colorfully decorated. It is a large restaurant and can be loud (we were in a separate upstairs room). The menu was pre-fix, but the vegetarian option was good and the sides were excellent as was the house red wine. The service was outstanding.

I'm a regular at the DC Palm and have been in others in Atlanta, Chicago, Coconut Grove, Denver and Tampa. None came without the walls being festooned with caricatures of regulars. This one. did. Other than that, the food, service and ambiance are Palm like . That means very good.

Thanks for the 4 Stars review! It looks like you may have visited our location in Beverly Hills as we still have the caricatures in full force here in Downtown LA. We hope to see you soon! All the Best, Dmitri More

We were very disappointed in this visit to the Palm. The place is stunning...but the food was very underwhelming. Our steak was extremely tough and not hot, the salad uninspiring. We had a lovely waitress.....but would not fo back anytime soon!

Sandi, I am so, so sorry to hear about the issues with your steak and salad. Our steaks should never be tough and of course always be hot. I am happy to hear you enjoyed your server but realize we have to get the food tighter. I would love to get you to give us another chance. If you could... More

Very elegant restaurant truly fine dining and pricey. Entrees and all side dishes were individually priced. I had 9oz filet mignon and cheesy potatoes it was pretty tasty although, I ordered my steak well done and they missed the mark. Would recommend to friends and family for special occasions

At the beginning I was skeptical about this place, it looks so nice and fancy, I thought It was unaffordable, but it is, I really liked it and they have special options that made my meal quite delicious and affordable. service is awesome as the decoration. I certainly will come back again

Sat down, and with 5min or less my meal was ready - so fast I didn't even get w chance to try the bread before my meal was ready. Impressive. Ordered the crab cakes which were excellent. Server was awesome and attentive. Food is pricey, but so is everything else in LA.

We absolutely love the palm for family meals. The menu has a wide variety of items that can cover just about everybody in the family and the atmosphere is very welcoming. Their salads are always fresh and crisp the classic Italian food on the menu is some of my favorite in town. The veal marsala is absolutely wonderful and the... More

I was in L.A. for a conference and we had our second night group dinner at the Palm. We had a private room upstairs for our party and the room was set-up nicely. The service was quick! As soon as we were seated, wine was poured and we were able to order off the prefix menu. I had the petite... More

Just had drinks and an appetizer there at the bar. But the decor is cool with picture and autographs on the walls of some of the patrons. The bar staff was great. food was decent

There are a number of very good steak restraurants in LA (though it's not the quaility of NY or Chicago) The Palm at LA LIVE is ok but there are better alternatives in town...notably The Palm in Beverly Hills. The restraurant is cavernous, loud with poor service. The steaks are good but they don't alwaysget the order right. I ordered... More

Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
