The Pantry still the same after so so many years. The food is still the same and the service is slow due to its popularity. But once seated the waiters are friendly and provide good service. The food is OK and it is a place...More

Yes the food is good, but the line gets very long and honestly I don't think it's worth the wait. Travel Tip: This is not a good place for "Hangry" (Hungry + Angry) people. You will be punching someone buy time you sit down to...More

Nice historical LA restaurant, est in 1924! Nice diner type menu. I eat breakfast there when I come to the LA area. I had scrambled eggs, homefries, bacon, Rye toast with coffee and OJ.

Stopped on Saturday morning while staying in LA for a USC game. The breakfast is very good and would definitely come back, but I would not wait more than 15 minutes. We waited for over an hour in line. Once seated the service was immediate...More

At 1am we waited for 15 minutes at bar to get take out and the bar waiter ignored us every single time he passed by. Food looks like normal diner. Avoid it if you want common courtesies and respect.

Don't let the line out the door keep you from dining at this pantry!!! And sit at the bar as an alternative--you get to see the cooks in action. Over the top breakfast, including a bacon and cheese omelet with AMAZING hash browns, a side...More

Still the same breakfast you got fifty years ago. Just a great greasy spoon open late for all of us DTLA crowd. Eggs and bacon, enough said!

When you first walk into this place, you feel like you're immediately transported back in time to the early 20's or 30's. One can imagine easily someone like Humphrey Bogart to come walking in, in coat and tie and spats! It has an old world...More

We waited about an hour and had very mediocre food. Son’s “famous French toast” was soggy and cold and he left most of it on his plate. Daughter’s pancake was dry and had no flavor. And we paid to park across the street in a...More

We had to wait for about 30 minutes at 8 am on a Saturday, but it was well worth it. You get to see a historic site open non-stop for 90 years, with a nice vintage atmosphere. But the food is really good. Simple and...More

Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering
buildings, bustling streets, and industrial
warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of
cultures here with a growing influx of business
professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of
Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts,
bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly.
Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants

If you ask the gluten free question, this place is not for you. Only one in 2,000 people actually has a possible issue with glutens.. The Pantry is not about health food.
