Trying to check out other Los Feliz eats on a rainy night and went to Mexico City. Just a few people, one group loud and rude, staff did nothing. Unfortunately not much good here, chips were stale and greasy, Salsa not so good either. Asked for hotter salsa, charged $3 for Habanero salsa. Asked for beer options, not many, so... More

This was pretty legit Mexican food for SoCal. No cheese and sour cream on the street tacos, they are small and legit.

Having lived in Mexico, I know authentic Mexican Food and this place has it. It is not so common to find a restaurant that has food typically found in the capital city.

I have lived in Silver Lake for three years and finally discovered this gem! Chips and salsa are complimentary unlike most places and the salsa's are really good and interesting! I usually get the enchilada's or the baja fish tacos. They also have shrimp dishes that are amazing and you can make your own tacos with them!

At first glance the place looks like an iffy diner, but once inside the atmosphere is casual but cool and the food is mighty tasty. They make much of their menu from scratch (proudly told to me by the bartender) and she was right. Homemade chips and salsa was a good start. I had 2 enchiladas, one with chicken, the... More

Mexico City restaurant is very popular and for good reason. It has a solid, pretty extensive Mexican cuisine menu with choices in every category. It's quaint and full of retro furniture, red vinyl seats and all. Parking exists in back of the restaurant but it is quite tight back there and only a few spaces marked for the restaurant, but... Amazing food, company, and most of all ambience. The margaritas are insane. This epic establishment is a mix of mod and mex.

We can after a recommendation by a local and we weren't disappointed. The staff were very polite. The food was quick the NACHOS were amazing and the rest of the dishes were as good. Totally recommended. .
