Great service and fun décor, tasty food, with a couple of disappointments. I spent the first 30 years of my life in Los Angeles, yet I'd never been to the iconic Tam O'Shanter in the Atwater Village neighborhood. After a family hike in Griffith Park,...More

The "Tam," as people call it, has been around for a long time, notable for its prime rib and also its fish and chips. The service is top-notch and the food is delicious and definitely filling. We went there for a birthday lunch, where you...More

We decided to meet at the Tam O'Shanter restaurant for our annual lunch. Since we arrived as the restaurant was opening, we chose to eat in the dining room, and were seated at the table where Walt Disney liked to sit. Be aware that for...More

Stopped for brunch as we heard this had been a favorite lunch spot of Walt Disney. They have a table labeled as where he sat and there are itches in the table made by Disney and his imagineers. A poster on the wall commentates the...More

My wife and I have been checking off the list of classic Los Angeles restaurants that are the kind that are unfortunately dying out. Tam O’ Shanter is one of them and is the oldest family restaurant in LA. It’s the place that Walt Disney...More

Service was okay but the food wasn’t. Prime rib was under cooked and has more fat than meat. Turkey dinner was good but they brought extra beef gravy instead of the extra turkey gravy we ordered. Not a good dining experience tonight.

As JulieMack said, no dry rub on thr amazing prime rib. I would doubt that the potatoes have any gluten added and you'd need to ask your server about the creamed spinach and corn. You would have to skip the Yorkshire... More
