I was so excited to dine at this place and I really, really wanted to love it. I saw it when driving by and it had such a fabulous vintage look. I immediately looked it up and started researching it by reading reviews. It sounded right up my alley, so we made a resie for the next night. We walked... More

We have been going for years and go to some of their holiday events. They have a great weekend brunch, excellent selection of dinners, great appetizers and deserts. They also have a carvery for sandwiches for a quick lunch.

Fun as usual, The atmosphere is very welcoming and clean. Unfortunately, the server we had was running like crazy from the pub area, where we sat, to the main dining room to assist customers. It took a crazy amount of time to place our order. We knew the location was busy but we expected, at least our easy to make... More

This has been one of our favorites restaurants for many years. This time we went to celebrate my birthday. I like my food hot but they were not able to serve my prime rib dinner to my liking. Our waiter (Mark) wrote my request down on the order but the meal was barely warm. Even the mashed potatoes and creamed... More

We have actually been going to this restaurant for years, but I don't remember reviewing it. This time I am putting in my review because we had an excellent meal, with great service. Our server, Shaun (or maybe Sean), was very attentive to our needs and very personable. I believe when eating a nice dinner out, it adds so much... More

Took a friend for a meal and she damaged her tooth on a piece of bone in the prime rib. Gave us a free dessert wow. Told us to get tooth checked at dentist. Will cost $3000 and they are not interested. Passed onto their insurance company. I cannot speak to anyone at corporate office or the insurance company. Oh... More

This restaurant serves up great food in a frozen-in-time space that is truly unique. Legend has it that Walt Disney took inspiration from the design of this restaurant, and when you walk into the main dining room you immediately see that. I thought "This looks like something Disney would have designed," but it turns out the restaurant was there first.... More

This restaurant is over 90 years old (oldest restaurant in LA), and was visited by many famous Hollywood celebrities including John Wayne and Walt Disney! Besides the awesome decor, the food was delicious - especially the prime rib and sundae. So good!! This was also Lawry's owners' first restaurant. I came here for DineLA so price was good but in...
