stopped in before our show hoping to get a good meal - looks like a steak house from outside. They have a nice bar, although very pricy but a very limited menu which looked more like something for brunch rather than dinner.

This is a great little find for theater-goers or anyone needing to stop for a repast while walking the Boulevard. The beers are ice cold and hearty, service is friendly, and the atmosphere is comfortable and not too upscale. Loved sharing the small plates. The HIpster Mac and Cheese features a truffled sauce and Chez-it Cracker topping (delicious but I'd... More

Popped in for a pre theatre dinner when I was on my own. Staff were lovely and very attentive. I ordered a couple of share plates but to be honest one would have been more than enough. Having said that, both dishes were delicious, and the accompanying beer (the sabre toothed squirrel ale) was just about the best ale I've... More

The grilled cheese sandwich was good, the rigatoni and cheese was yuck. Everything else, olives, sardines, fries, charcuterie and cheese ok. Pricey for what you get. Slow service.

Pre theatre sharing menu. All items were very good, except the Bone Marrow, which was just OK. Service was very good, cocktails and other beverages were reasonably priced. Quite enjoyable overall!

Stopped in for a drink after a show at the Pantages theater across the street. Great little bar and eatery on Hollywood Blvd. Lots of dark wood and a nice ambiance to relax and have a drink. Didn't try the food, however the charcuterie plate looked tasty with various meats and cheeses. I'd definitely stop by for a meal next... More

We got a last minute table on a foggy Wednesday evening. Drinks were on the back patio next to the fire pit. I ordered the Magnolia which I'm told is never removed from the drink menu. For good reason. This is a small plates place so the four of us shared about 6 dishes, and that was more than enough... More

Very good food and a great location on Hollywood Blvd. Terrific staff. They have an odd policy about tipping; rather than let you decide the tip, they just add a 20% charge on the bill. They also suggest that their entrees are designed for sharing. There was plenty of food, but more a decent single portion then shareable. Just unusual... More

Our friends (having eaten here in the past) suggested we eat here before going to the theater across the street to see The King and I. Looks tiny when walking in but there is a whole floor upstairs and I peeked out the back when going to the restroom and saw a few tables and a fire pit downstairs in... More

My husband and I shared brussel sprouts, stuffed mushrooms and short ribs before the show at Pantages. Every bite was amazing. Super convenient, and excellent service.

Staying in Hollywood

Neighbourhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
