After a busy day of sight seeing in LA, my mother and I decided to eat dinner here after happy hour at the hotel we were staying at - JW Marriott LA Live. The food hit the spot and was great! We ate sushi and vegetable tempura. Our waiter was excellent. No complaints whatsoever. Best of all, it was within... More

Actually are here twice since being on town. I was impressed both times with the service and the food. They have great sushi and also great hot meals from the kitchen. Service was attentive and friendly. Answered all questions and offered recommendations. Would go back again.

LA Live seems to always be a bit of a zoo, but we were lucky enough to find a couple of seats at the sushi bar. Despite the restaurant being packed, service was spot-on. As for the food, we didn't get too adventurous, just some rolls, which were great. And a fried shrimp appetizer (creamy shrimp maybe?) which was delicious.... More

Attending a conference and decided to check out the sushi at Katsuya. Nice modern Japanese restaurant and some of the freshest Sushi and a fresh side salad with very tasty dressing. Add a little sake for lunch and you have the afternoon made! I just wish I had more days in LA to try more of the dishes they had... More

A work colleague and I dined here and had a wonderful experience! Our server, Courtney, was very knowledgeable about the menu, was prompt and attentive without being obtrusive and didn't miss a detail, even with special requests. The food was excellent, but a little pricey. Also, some items on the menu aren't listed as spices and they are. We enjoyed... More

We recently tried Katsuya prior to seeing the Blues/Kings game and we were all very happy. The service was very good and attentive and the food was fantastic. The waiter recommended two different rolls and they were both outstanding. We'll be back.

Food was okay. Their cod was too salty. House sake tasted like i was drinking water. Most of all, the service was beyond bad. Not worth the money spent. Definitely Katsura LA Live does not reflect a true Japanese cuisine, from food to service.

Nestled into L.A. Live, this is a neat place to go. Sit in a trendy interior or enjoy the open air seating outside the front door in a very hip lounge area. I tad difficult eating out there because the tables are very low and you have to lean forward to get to tehm since the seating is so comfortable... More
