First of all, this review is coming from a native, born and raised Puerto Rican. We ordered "pernil" and we received two pieces of pork that looked like pork chops, totally bland and unflavored. Our "pernil" is shredded pork, not slices of pork. The rice with gandules was bland, after changing the "pernil" for "lechón asado", we received shredded pork,... More

Went with friends missing puertorican cuisine and were happily surprised. Excellent service, good variety in the menu, good seasoning. Loved the mofongo with shrimp and the asopao.

I stopped at Mofongo's with my family yesterday. The food was good ! My kids like the pastelillos. My nephew enjoyed rice, beans, breaded chicken and plantains. I had a very tasty mofongo de lechón. The servers are friendly and very attentive!

Located on Lankershim Blvd, we found parking on the street easy. It is a small restaurant with tables and chairs. You have a waiter (who will take your order either in English or Spanish) and you order from a menu. Not knowing many of the dishes, the server answered all our questions without getting upset. We ordered a sandwich where... More

Decided tot ry something different prior to hitting a play at a nearby theater. Made reservations for 6 and they were about 10 minutes late. If you want dinner seat and have a show to see---yes to reservations. This more of a cafe-diner than "dining" Vibe. Mofungos is casual and friendly. Clearly a local fav too. (Such better choice than... More

Love this place! Any time I'm in the neighborhood I have to stop in for mofongo and Malta. All the choices are authentic and aside from street parking being a pain here the cozy little hole in the wall is perfect

I've eaten here about 4 times. The food is full of flavor. Four stars only because the service is a bit slow, not to friendly and not to many vegetarian options. Worth a try! Every time I come in they have expanded the restaurant. Kudos for your expansion.

Mofongo is good. This is small place with few tables and good food. Had the coconut desert.. it was good. Limited parking in the back, two spots.. Outside seating can't serve alcohol. So we I seat inside. One waiter that seemed to not be able to keep up with 4 tables... once you get his attention, order your food at... More
