You can never go wrong here! The chicken and meat pies have been made the same for over 25 years, by the same two guys! It's just plain old good comfort food, English style. They mix up the meat, potatoes , spices, carrots etc in a bug mixer, then put it in a dough wrapper and bake it. You can... More

They make authentic British pies in different varieties. It may look quiet on a busy street; but don't make the mistake and go on a weekend because people come from both LA and Orange Counties for these pies.

First, it's not "paste-ey" (those are something else entirely). "Pass Tee". A delicious meal in your hand originating in Cornwall by wives and mothers of miners. Think stew covered in pie pastry. The "traditional" beef pasty is to be had of course but this place also offers chicken, vegetarian, and cheese and onion (don't knock it until you've eaten it).... More

My dad went to school in Houghton, MI and so I was raised on these meat pies. Rediscovered them on trips to Australia and England so it was a treat that living in LA for 20+yrs I stumbled upon this place. The large pasties are huge....so much meat and scattered with potatoes and carrots. The serve 3 kinds - Beef/Chicken/Vegie... More

If you've never visited the Pasty Kitchen, you definitely must add it to your list. Simple and inexpensive but delicious. I always get the beef pasty and a big side of beef gravy to put on it. YUM. Note that there are only a few outdoor tables to eat at. This is mostly a grab and go type of place.

I had seen this place on a TV Review Station... and thought I would try it... today was the day. I'll be going back. There is NEVER a wait... everything is piping hot and ready to go.... You see them making the Pasty's right in front of you as you are ordering... It smells like grandma's kitchen. I had 1... More

I get the chicken m daughter gets the beef wonderful with gravy. No real indoor seating there is tables outside, so not a good place to go to when raining (oh it never rains in California). It's is mostly a take out.

My daughter was visiting me and had hoped to find pasties like she had enjoyed in England. We decided to try this place, and she felt that the beef pasty came close to what she remembered. My son and I loved it, and I really liked the gravy. My son loves potato salad, and gave the potato salad here a... More

Delicious pasties made quickly and for a good price. I also tasted both the cherry and apple dessert pasties. I would definitely go back for the lunch pasties but I didn't think there was anything special about the dessert ones.

Ive passed this place dozens of times and never thought to stop in,however, one day I was tired of burgers and tacos. I ordered one of each; beef, chicken, and veggie ... they were out of veggie. Of the two, I prefer the beef as it had a little more flavor. I did not order gravy on the side... probably... More
