I was there 9 years ago on my very first road trip to California with two friends. We’ve been reminiscing about our trip lately and we all agreed that one of our best memory is Lone Pine and our night at Jake Saloon. It was...like being in a movie, but better! We played shuffled, drunk beer, played pool, socialized with some guys there and everything was so perfect! I dream of visiting again one day! Jake Saloon in will forever be in our Italian hearts!!More

On a rainy mid week evening we needed to escape the motel room. Other RVrs said go here. Glad we did. Good beer selection warm reception and fast friendly service. Shuffle. ORD and ping pong a bonus. Best part, no smoking! Nice.

Worth the visit for the dive bar connoisseur. Locals and yokels mixed together. One observation: they don't seem too concerned with carding young looking people. Look, I may be older so everyone looks like a toddler to me, BUT seriously, why take a chance. Half...that were served while I was there I would have carded in a heart beat.More

Called in here for a beer at lunchtime, it only had about 6 people in it. The beers were good if a bit short on the craft selection side. The only thing that let it down was that there was no food available, a few...bowls of nuts or potatoe chips would of been nice. But all in all it was a pleasant place to sit and have a beerMore

When we were strolling in Lone Pine around 9pm we came across this bar and decided to have a drink. Despite that this bar actually looked fun, we felt really unwelcome and uncomfortable. Firstly, we were served by a woman who looked at us like...she wanted us to leave not even a small "hi" or anything but rudely asked "what do you want?". Second, there were a lot a drunk people screaming and shouting all over the place extremely loud, we barely could understand each other. The woman at the bar seemed to not care about the exaggerating yells and shouts.. Third, when we decided to leave after one drink we noted the large Confederate flag proudly hanging above the entrance.. we knew enough. This bar might be fun when you're a local but as a European tourist this saloon is not the best experience for your holidays.More

I heard this bar had one of the only two liquor licenses in town and just got it, so maybe they are working the kinks out but there wasn’t much booze in the one drink I ordered before I switched to beer. The bar was...authentic lone pine with some typical locals and a few fun games to play but my main complaint is the inability to pour a good drink. Please check the date of this and check for yourself.More

Beat up old saloon. Wonderful. Good selection of beer and pleasant service. Pool tables and a great shuffle board table. Go and enjoy.

Visited Jakes one early evening in April. A great local bar, Nothing wrong with this place. Good beer, friendly staff and regulars. Even got bought a drink in there. Quirky toilets but nothing wrong with that!

Stopped in for a beer. This place is an eclectic western mountain town watering hole. The bartender was very friendly with a good selection of local beers

Stumbled into Jake's seeking shade and refreshment, and immediately hooked - how many bars have a ceiling covered in rolled up dollar bills? Asked the bartender for advice about which local brew to try - BIG mistake He thought the Mountain Rambler lager might be...ok, and I agreed. Two pints later and I could hardly remember my name - it was then I discovered his choice of beer was around 7.1% as opposed to the more usual 4/5%. Absolutely brilliant, and if you have ever wanted to enter a saloon in western style, pushing aside the swing half doors, this is THE place!More
