I have lived here my whole life and have dined there many times, never really impressed by the food quality, but today did it for me. I went to get lunch for a friend and the signs say open but the door is locked. As im...standing at the front door I called. The lady that was working looked rite at me picked up the phone and hung it up and walked away. I will never give them my business or suggest anyone to dine there ever again. No other business in town is like this. And p.s. the taco trucks in town are way better than anything you will get from this restaurant... better service too.More

So the best thing going for this place is the ice cold beer mugs. First impression, the salsa was yucky. The food was ok at best. The wet burrito sauce tasted like they mixed bbq/marinara/tomatoes and whatever other liquids they had to make it a...wet burrito. I tried the wet burrito obviously and my partner had the tacos are truly were disappointed. The cold beer was good though, that's why I'm giving it 2 stars 🌟 🌟More

All though the fish tacos were the fresh, but very small for the $4.95 . The prices here are a little on expensive side this type of restaurant and area. Service was nice, but slow.

Poor to average Mexican food at best, but the only Mexican in Lone Pine. This was our second visit to Bonanza Mexican Restaurant. The restaurant was not busy, but service was still slow. Salsa was less than average and unremarkable - chips were thin and...looked store-bought. Note -we go to a lot of Mexican places and I feel we are a good judge of Mexican food. -Had a Chicken Salad and half the salad was the lettuce leaf center ribs that are normally trimmed off - lettuce was chopped, not hand torn as usual. The chicken was dry, tasteless , overcooked and tough. Keep on driving to Bishop, there are several good dining options there.More

They gave me salsa and chips before my dinner. The salsa had very little taste. My enchilada and taco were fair but the flavor was not there. I ordered the Mexican chocalate with whip cream for dessert but I was told no chocalate. So, I...ordered the Fried ice cream which took a time to make. The place was somewhat clean with a pestering fly moving about.. But, the air conditioner worked great as it was cool inside. Would I come back? NoMore

Title says it all. The staff were good and accommodating, the beers reasonable with a good selection of Mexican varieties. But the food was indifferent, not very hot temperature wise.

While traveling south on 395, we found (by accident) Bonanza Mexican Restaurant. While the facility is trying to be a cross between a cowboy grub house and a Mexican restaurant, the food makes up for the lack of ambiance. We understood our server was new...but still quite professional and friendly. We found the food to our liking and more authentic than expected.More

Food was good, restaurant is quite dated. There was only one waitress for the whole place but she handled it very well.

We had an excellent breakfast there. Very friendly people, as well as the other customers. On the same street that will take you to the Alabama Hills and Whitney Portal. Great food!
