A nice one stop shop for all your needs, gas, snacks, souvenirs, chapstick you name it. There really is very few choices available in this area for food and it’s really smart that the gas station has a deli as well. I imagine it would...be difficult to have a successful restaurant in this area when Tioga Pass closes for several months. We stopped here several times over a 2 day span and found it had everything we needed. The staff at Whoa Nellie Deli were great. The food was good, some of the reviews on here make you think it’s a Michelin star restaurant, it’s not. It’s good however. You sit outside at picnic tables after you get your food. It’s nice. Kids running off some energy. An overall good vibe.More

Located just off Tioga Road above Mono Lake, the Whoa Nellie Deli is a casual, fun place to eat. We enjoyed their signature fish tacos along with a local brew for dinner while watching the sunset over Mono Lake. Priceless!

Did not disappoint. Someone in Wawona recommend we hit this place for breakfast or lunch coming/going. Breakfast Burrito and other breakfast standards - great service, great food They also have a good selection of supplies and gifts - oh and nice clean bathrooms - worth...a stopMore

We did not expect much. What do you expect at a place called Whoa Nellie deli located in a gas station? The food was outstanding! My wife had bison meat loaf, and it was delicious and there was enough for at least one or two more...meals.it came with fresh sautéed string beans and real mashed potatoes. I had the seared tuna, and it was also great. It came with a very good slaw and seaweed salad. I could barely finish it. And it is in a gas station, but it includes a really good gift shop, and the place is bright and cheery,More

Tasty BBQ chicken sandwich for a good price (unlike, say, the fish tacos which were severely overpriced). Nice patio outside with beautiful vistas.

I recommend the Asian Salad with Salmon, the Bison Meatloaf, the Elk steak, and the hot and crispy fries! Honestly, anything you get here will be so much better than you would ever think possible given the location. If you enjoy good, fresh food, this...is the place!More

If you travel CA 120 Tioga Pass through Yosemite to Mono Lake, you have no choice but to visit Lee Vining. There's not much else around. This was a welcome food stop, far better than anyone has any right to expect at a gas station....Limited selection, but the fish tacos and carnitas tacos were excellent. Don't expect to eat them while driving! This deli offers little deli food, just a few pre-prepared sandwiches. To those who complained about the price, this isn't Taco Bell. It's good quality food. Most restaurant food is more expensive now, since the whole hospitality industry is having trouble getting workers.More

Overall, this was the best food in town. We ordered and paid then waited until our number was called to pick the food up at the counter. The cooking was top notch. They were the only source we found in town for early morning take-out...lunch sandwiches. The place is quite busy, but the staff worked well together and were pleasant.More

Don't let the fact that the restaurant is in a gas station deter you. The food was fabulous and reasonably priced. We paid twice as much for half as much the day before at our hotel that was not nearly as good. The service is...fast and friendly, and the food is the best around. Don't pass this one. Stop in and give it a try.More

We stop at Whoa Nellie Deli every time we are in the area. It is a hidden gem! Everything we have tried has been amazing! The mango margaritas are the best! Expect a crowd and a bit of a wait but it is well worth...it! We enjoy dining outside on the large grassy area but they also have a few tables inside as well.More

We stopped to get dinner on our way out of the park, and it was decent. Some of the items were really good - the grilled veggie sandwich was delicious. The bacon cheese burger and the burger with Ortega chiles and cheese was also decent....The kiddo ordered the chicken strips which were not good - they were rubbery and tasted like they had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. But for the most part, it was decent meal after a long day of driving from the other side of the park.More

There is a great grassy patio area with tables outside, great view, great for dogs. Several diners had their dogs with them when we dined.
