Let's start with the positive. The food was very good We were a party of fourteen and everyone seemed to like their food. Prices were in the higher side $25-$40. The problem that I had was they crammed you in so tight you could not get around people. If you had to use the restroom, it might take you a... More

I went to Alessa on a girls' night out, and loved the chicken limoncello (or something like that). It was a tasty chicken dish--light but flavorful. We had to wait quite awhile to be seated, but it was a beautiful Saturday evening, so I guess that should be expected. Good food and worth the wait!

very fresh rocket and lovely aged prosciutto. A delicious high quality lunch. Only the coffee afterwards was disappointing.

Good food busy place. On street parking which can be a challenge so be prepared. Pasta was good as was the risso and veal Marcella. Be sure to try the acorn squash ravioli. Pricy like the town.

This is a casual Italian restaurant in downtown Laguna Beach. The food is solid, but not great. The service is friendly. Good choice for families.

I am 100% Italian and this is by far my favorite Italian restaurant in South OC. It is very authentic and the closest I have ever found to my mother's homed meatballs. There are so many great things on the menu it is hard to make a choice. Everything is so amazing!!

We went back 2 times in a 4 day stay and almost went back for a third. Great, authentic Italian. Everything was wonderful. Loved the Nonni's lasagna. Will definitely return next year. Nice atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor dining. A little noisy but festive.

Don't pass up the chance to eat at Alessa or sister restaurants in Newport Beach - Pirozzi and Cucina Alessa! This is a FOODIE paradise. Every menu item is multi-layer tasty... (I'm drooling as I write this). I recommend order some of the main menu items as entrees - so you can enjoy more than one since it is so... More

This restaurant, located on Forest, is the sister to Mare on PCH. It is open all day. Parking is tough, but worth the effort. The restaurant is superb for each and every item on the menu. My favorite is the meatball: so flavorful, and one is plenty for lunch. The staff is very helpful, the patrons friendly. We love Alessa.
