I've been going to the Royal Hawaiian since the late 1960s...have been away for over a decade and returned to see the interior has been significantly upgraded (fine although I did love the old/original fisherman's bar atmosphere) and I was afraid I would be disappointed...More

I made a reservation at the Royal Hawaiian knowing there would be crowds on a Saturday night after a big event at the nearby Laguna Art Museum. We've driving by for years but never had a meal there. The exterior always looked a little gloomy...More

Atmosphere was fantastic. An entertainer named Einstein was there that night and provided us with great vibes. Had the Pineapple Teriyaki Chicken Bowl which was delicious along with a Lapu Lapu rum drink! Second time there and will be back. Service was good.

I went with a couple friends to celebrate my birthday. We were hoping to have a couple drinks and then dinner. It started out poorly with a rather surly hostess whose annoyed expression and indifferent attitude made us feel like we were just another irritation...More

This is a fun Hawaiian themed restaurant with so much potential. I know it's been at its location for quite some time, however, it is the most poorly run restaurant I've ever seen. We arrived for an 8:30pm reservation and the front "lobby" was filled...More

Enjoyed the happy hour special; you can order 4 small plates for $28 and also get discounted drinks. The house special drink Lapu Lapu is really tasty. Loved the decor and the whole vibe here.

I wasn’t expecting much... just some good Hawaiian food and a Mai Tai. This placed delivered that and more. It is so cute inside... a cross between Disney’s Tiki Room and a Hawaiian resort. Our waitress was the best! She was friendly and accommodating. When...More

Took my in law's last night for a nice dinner out. They bought a place just down PCH in San Clemente and had yet to RH. Considering it was the tail end of the 4th of July weekend, I figured we'd not be able to...More

We tried to find a Tiki spot in every town on our Southern California trip. Traveling with twin 6 year old girls can be challenging at best but the service and fun cocktails and mocktailsmade the sticker shock of the check worth it. The food...More
