Convenient location just off Fwy in downtown Lafayette. Open for lunch and dinner and usually will seat patrons quickly. Menu was interesting. Nice, light front rooms or more formal back area. Children like the food. Well-behaved children will be more comfortable. Servers were friendly. The chef...More

Tailored to non-Asian tastes, little flavor to differentiate one dish from another. The ubiquitous brown sauce tastes the same as the ubiquitous white sauce.

Had lunch with work colleague. Pot stickers doughy and served cold. Scallop special was so bland no flavor and frankly not sure they were actually scallops. Go somewhere else for lunch

Great place to bring the family. We always get the spice orange beef and pan fried noodles but there are so many pages of good food, it's hard to pick. Soups are always good as well

We decided to try the Lafayette location of this long time Bay Area dining-especially since we heard the San Ramon location had a fire and closed. We ordered pot stickers and egg rolls, both were unremarkable and pot stickers were pretty doughy. We ordered a...More

We usually get take out, but have eaten at the restaurant as well. Food is bland, even when i have ordered extra spices. For example, the hot and sour soup is neither hot nor sour....just sort of gelatinous. Main dishes have good ingredients, but again,...More

Uncle Yu's has your typical Chinese food, with the mongolian beef, sezchuan chicken, sweet and sour pork, etc. The food is good, not great, and for the money, it is reasonably good.
