A favorite spot of my moms and me. Takes us back to our east coast route. Yummy seafood and chowder. Good desserts too!

this is our go to place for good seafood and oysters in Lamorinda. Chef Mike is awesome and there is a nice wine list and great selection of oysters
Another nice meal with family. The food is very good and during January, the wine list bottle purchases are half off during Monday thru Friday. Love the Beer Battered Shrimp. Service is good for kids and seniors. Have a kids menu and an Oyster Bar. Also a full bar and decent wine list. Located on the main drag in Lafayette.
I've been to the Yankee Pier several times over the years and keep hoping for an above average experience - but each time it disappoints. The food is decent but not memorable, the service adequate but not notable and ambiance is clean but not impressive. During our most recent stop, my wife and I each ordered the petrale sole -... More
Two couples out for dinner: oysters and martinis were great. The entrées on the other hand were mediocre. The linguini with clams was bland. The lobster roll was extra chewy and served with potato chips and coleslaw. For $27.00, one would expect more. The Petrale Sole and the butterscotch desert were also good, coffee so-so. The service was excellent, but... More
Ate lunch here recently with friends during the Lafayette Arts Festival. I will give them the benefit of doubt because it was a busy weekend but the drinks and food were unoriginal and overpriced. I had a salad with shrimp which consisted of just that, lettuce and baby shrimp. The other menu selections for our group which ranged from a... More
My wife and I were celebrating our 36th anniversary so we decided to treat ourselves with a lobster dinner at Yankee Pier. We knew it was going to be a bit pricey, but we had heard good things about it so decided to give it a try. We ate dinner around 5:30, which happens to be in their happy hour,... More
My husband and I stopped by for a quick dinner after returning from travel. It was Saturday and relatively early for dinner - about 5:30. We were immediately seated when we entered, and we selected outdoor seating which was very pleasant on the fall afternoon. Our server, Peggy, was so efficient and pleasant - she did a fabulous job! We... More
When Yankee Pier opened a few years ago, I was excited to have a new seafood place in Lafayette. However, I was disappointed with the quality of the food. Fish was ordered prepared in a few styles (baked, grilled or blackened) with a choice of sides. After having a few lackluster meals, we stopped going there. About two years ago,... More
Yankee Pier is a nice looking restaurant, but I found the menu was a bit pricey for the quality of the food. But given the expensive location, I suspect they need to keep their prices high. I had fish tacos ($17), which were just OK. The two tacos were served with white "Cilantro" rice and black beans...and a radish. There... More
