This is very odd, a very good restaurant in a strange, little place, called a village. The food quality, portion size, and overall ambiance is closer to real foodie dining than many of the, so called ' fine dining' experiences found in the USA. Super, but simple, menu and a straightforward, and well priced, wine list make this place a... More

Our second night in the area and again on recommendation we choose to eat here, Good decision. We all enjoyed more than the previous evening. Good service. Excellent food. I picked a 70s favourite prawn cocktail, what came was a de constructed version very good. Then a lobster ravioli. We liked this venue and would recommend. Mondays and Wednesday live... More

We had Fish tacos(little kick to them), salmon sandwich w/sweet potato fries(they forgot to salt them), turkey bacon club w/soup and we ate every bite. good crunchy pickles, quick courteous service but I think $15 for any glass of wine is crazy.

We really liked this place. The Happy Hour is actually a few hours, and includes way more menu variety than most happy hours. We tried the halibut fish tacos and the nightly flatbread special along witht he $5 glasses of house wine.

We sat on the patio. A great spot to people watch. There was a family festival in progress which made it better. The brunch menu was extensive. Chef Paco knows his way around fish. The halibut lettuce wraps were perfectly cooked and the breakfast sandwich was quite good. A decent place to spend some time.

Each year when we visit we always go back to Solano's. (Even though it is far from where we stay.) We love Old La Quinta. The old buildings, the quiet street. We always sit outside. The Raspberry Brie tortilla is our very favourite appetizer. Service is excellent and the food great!

I visit La Quinta often and am always on the lookout for a new restaurant. Sadly, this was a huge disappointment. Other restaurants in the Old Town area were very busy, so when our group arrived we noticed that Solano's was rather empty...not a good sign. We should have gone with our "gut feeling" and kept walking. The service was... More

On Saturday morning, they were able to seat our party of seven immediately. Breakfast price between $10-$15, but they do offer a senior menu under $10. Eggs and pancakes that I ordered was very good.
